Well their entire athletic program exists in reference to Texas, so I’m not surprised.
And even still it was A&M who leaked the news and tried to blow it up.

It was very disrespectful.
Trotting Bjork out there to field questions after getting blindsided like that.
Very mean.
I mean, everyone was surprised.
Even their posters here flailed arms for…..and I mean FLAILED…..for about 7 days.
Then EKG has a way of calming them ALL down and must’ve sent a group email telling the rest they were acting like a bunch of babies.
The tune changed overnight and they were like,
It’s all on record.

I can't help but think it is the real reason they cancelled their bowl game. Not only not having a qb and little chance of winning because of it. Well that was why for Jimbo. But as for the ad in College Station, they wanted to send a fu to Birmingham.

A&M, MIZzou, OU and Texas are outsiders.
They will always be outsiders and big decisions regarding the SOUTHEASTERN conference will not include them.
We want them for their TV money but thats all. Their position on scheduling, how the conference divisions will be broken down, tv deals, all info on what has been decided by the SEC will be passed on to them after the fact.

The SEC did tell them, but only after the decision was made. A&M then threw a hissy fit, leaked the expansion news, then sat quietly back down in the corner.

It blew up when Aggie gave out the news, and this thread is about how the 13 other teams knew as an absolute definite, when you guys found out when A&M broke it
I’m not buying this scenario where OU TX and SEC along with the AD’s of LSU, Arky, Missouri, etc we’re having secret meetings as this thread implies, but you can believe it, calling it fact isn’t really true
