And why will it be the Oklahoma Sooners? Once they join the SEC they will be irrelevant. We all know it's coming.

Weird flex from someone who chose "Aggie Dynasty" as their username.

Oklahoma and LSU will both soon revert back to what they were in the 90s

I think USC will have a bigger issue with the BIG than Oklahoma with the SEC.

USC is one of those programs where they lose a game or 2 and their fanbase completely loses interest. If they don't win out of the gate to a CCG, they will fall off quick. I think they will have a hard time gaining fan interest locally playing teams from the BIG outside of Penn St, Mich, and Ohio St. USC and UCLA is a bigger deal for the current BIG members than it is for those 2 to join the BIG.

USC is about to be the 80's-90's USC with a harder path to a major bowl game.

I disagree. The SEC will save OU. The next Nebraska will be a team that has no base to recruit from, who used to enjoy national prominence. Think Miami.

Oklahoma is on a 75 year run as one of the best programs in the country. They’ve had a grand total of four losing seasons since WWII, while winning seven NCs.

They’ve done it a lot longer, in different eras, and with several different coaches.

Nebraska hit the goldmine by hiring back to back great coaches in Bob Devaney and Tom Osbourne that combined to coach for nearly 40 years.

OU had seven coaches during that same span, and that doesn’t include Bud Wilkinson who predated Devaney, or Bob Stoops and Lincoln Riley that were hired after Osbourne retired at Nebraska.

OU will always have easy access to Texas talent. Their proximity to fertile recruiting grounds better insulates them from one of the main factors that contributed to Nebraska’s downturn.

OU won’t win 10+ games every single year going forward, but I doubt they will sink to the level of Nebraska.

Reminder that Nebraska has won something more recently than the Vols.

As much as we have all made fun of OU for following Texas around like they are the Longhorns' gimp (and rightfully so), you have to give them credit for understanding that without easy access to Texas recruits, they are finished, and doing whatever is necessary to keep that pipeline open and not pull a Nebraska. They'll do fine in the SEC.

I think you may be surprised, OU will be fine. I think eventually Clemson will be the team that drops off.
