The SEC isn’t looking to add any more teams to their conference, according to multiple SEC sources via Saturday Down South.
With USC and UCLA joining the Big Ten and a myriad of other programs looking for future direction, many have theorized the SEC could open up their doors, like they’re doing for the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners. However, that doesn’t seem to be the preference of SEC presidents.

First common sense thing I've seen on this topic thus far.

1. Have these types of things ever been accurate? The shadows.
2. You are telling me if the B10 tomorrow adds: ND, Stanford, Oregon, Clemson, FSU, Miami, UNC, Virginia to get to the rumored 24 that the B10 wouldn’t become the deepest conference?
2. You are telling me if the B10 tomorrow adds: ND, Stanford, Oregon, Clemson, FSU, Miami, UNC, Virginia to get to the rumored 24 that the B10 wouldn’t become the deepest conference?

Compare those teams NC won in the Big 3 over the last 25 years, and then compare that to just the original ten of the SEC teams during that time
Deepest is not the best

It's weird how people act like the SEC has to react to the Big 10 adding USC/UCLA when they were the ones reacting to us making (much better) additions a year ago. 7 of top 10 most valuable programs (5 excluding OU and Texas) are SEC. Hell, 6 of the top 12 are SEC charter members.

Crazy thing is that most posters here get mad if you post the topic and then link the source without including the entire article. That’s the proper www protocol though.

I'm convinced it's like all these people who constantly post their "perfect playoff systems".
It's just a fantasy they have where they get to be the one who gives the solution. In the end, it's generally solutions to problems that don't actually exist.

Quantity does not equal quality. Every one of those mentioned teams are 7-5 or worse in the SEC.

The most sensible outcome would be for there to be 4 conferences with 16 teams each.
That would basically cover the existing P5 teams and eliminate one conference.
My guess is that you will have the ACC, SEC, B10, and a combo of B12/Pac12.
ACC could add WV and along with ND have 16 teams.
B12/P12 could drop BYU, UCF, Houston and Cincy but add Colorado, Utah, Stanford, Cal, AZ, AZ State, Oregon, Oregon State and Washington to make 16.
Obviously that is leaving out a team (Wazzou). But the only way to include every P5 team would be to make the four conferences 18 teams each and then you pick up a couple of add-ons.
Will be interesting to see how it all shakes out in time.

One of the programs who many believe would have their choice of whichever conference to join is Notre Dame, but a SDS source stated that their may be no need for the Fighting Irish in the SEC.
Seems legit.
