You guys said the Georgia fans would be insufferable (and you were right).

No evidence of it so far imo. Always thought they were great here anyways. Seems like a good bunch to me.

Anyways, carry on. It's still Georgia week

Now, I take it back. You guys (except for a few: GoldenDawg, LewDawg, DawgsLife and a few others -- you know who's good) are insufferable.

I co-sign. Only one friend had been insufferable and he used to be a dawg and felt the pain of not being able to break the "curse" lol. He gave me hell for a day (non-stop messages and videos) then he let it go.

The rest have been really cool about it. Credit to Georgia

Several of the really bad ones seem to have left. I am thinking now that they were alters or they would be here acting like fools.

BUT....thanks. It's been a fun week, and as an old one a very cathartic week.

The opposite happened, actually. Maybe winning the NC is all they needed the whole time.

Wish we knew the cure for Florida fans too

For those of us who were alive and living in surrounding states in the early 1980s...we all know what is coming.

They all knew it was a matter of time, and they have been right there several times, so I am sure it was a relief to kill the 1980 curse. No need to rub everybody's face in it when they have been there before.

I live in Georgia now, and some are bad. The old-timers that have actually been around since 1980 are pretty cool and just happy to finally get back.

The insufferables are the ones who think UGA football started in 2017.

I think this is the same for all fanbases.

I have to admit I thought they’d be as bad as Clemson fans. I’m very pleased to admit they have been pretty great since Monday.

The only sure thing was an unbelievable spate of yah yah trolling by LSU fans, regardless of who won.

If Georgia won it was a sure thing that it would be treated as the greatest LSU win since 44-16 (it was…but surprisingly muted to an extent).

If Alabama won, the numbers “1980” would be referenced by LUSers more times in one week than George Orwell.

What is unteresfing is you don’t see fans from other bottom-of-division teams yakking it up. So I guess the tendency to strut and troll is genetic or geography based and is not related to being good at the football.

Give it time. We are still riding the adrenaline high, but it will devolve eventually. Every fanbase is the same.

Some insufferable in the Big 6 thread. Like claiming they are now the Big 2.

We were an angry and pissy fanbase from having our hearts ripped out so many times. Now that we've won, it's like a weight has been lifted and some of the tension related to watching CFB games has eased. It's been a relaxing and cathartic experience.

I think for most GA fans it was about getting over 1 game. We had won an SECG and first round playoff game recently, but not the Natty.

Once we got the win, we are happy, but somewhat meh about rubbing it in.

If we were the type of team to go 6-6 and this was a "one off" event, we would probably be insufferable for the next year.
