Arkansas will offer Malzahn somewhere in the neighborhood of $50 million over seven years, according to separate sources cited in the report. That number would average out to $7.1 million per year
"Arkansas is dead serious," said a different source close to the situation. "They want him in the worst way."
Gus Malzahn apparently wants to feel more loved and appreciate at Auburn, and if not, he will go elsewhere, according to CBSSports.com.
Meanwhile, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette is reporting today that a new head coach is expected to be hired Sunday. Malzahn has always been Arkansas' top target, according to the report from Wally Hall, the Democrat-Gazette's longtime sports editor.
Malzahn is said to be frustrated by the up-and-down reception he has received at Auburn, according to sources cited by CBSSports.com.

Not a single link.
If it's legit 7.1 over 7 years then I say play hard ball.
Don't think he's worth that much. But could all depend on other clauses and extension of years

Then bye Gus...I'll be pissed if Auburn matches that. He's not worth that IMO.
Arkansas is desperate....Auburn is not.

If he wants to be at Arkansas he should go. I'm not sure why he wants to be more loved and appreciated based on his years outside of 2013 and 2017. If he wants to go somewhere where 8 wins is appreciated then he should go. I'd love for him to stay because I feel like we have the potential for a great year next year, especially if we hold on to Steele. I won't lose any sleep if he leaves though.

I don't care if he leaves but i'll hate to lose Steele, Twill and RG

There is value in returning home. I would be happy for the guy if he wants to go home.

Let him walk. He wants to go to Ark. If not now, it will be later. 7.1 is too much for someone with his post-season record.

this is a really tough situation. Some continuity would be nice, but I'm really not sure Gus is worth that

I’ll go one further, he absolutely is not worth 7.1 million dollars a year.
Auburn should play hardball here.

sumlin would be last on my list out of those choices
i guess strong would be my first choice as I'm not sure Kiffin is mature enough yet to run a major program like Auburn

If lane wasn’t a petulant child, maybe.

I think a lot of his shenanigans this year are because of where he is. He was silent at Bama. I don't think our BOTs would ever go for someone like him though
