And yes AU is gonna win some head-to-head battles. We have won some in the past despite a mediocre season on the field. This is Gus's 2nd best season at AU

Gus deserves a raise. I just don't know if marrying him at this juncture is wise.

Kinda what I think. I do not think we have to match the 7.1 mil. But Gus needs a substantial raise and extension. He is a good coach and has our program in very good shape. We lose him, we definitely take a few steps back for a few years.

Educated guess based on where we are as a program and the current landscape. Pretty confident I'm right and it would be a significant step back for us without Gus.
That said, I personally think the chances Gus leaves us right now are 10% tops.

probably about the amount of time he spent this last week game planning. it's obvious he spent the other 90% working out his dream contract. not waiting until the season was over to pull this shite is a huge strike against him.

It does appear he wants to stay at Auburn. If not, he would have jumped all over the Arky deal...........which he might take if we don't give him close to what he is wanting. I don't think we must match their offer to keep him though.

This one has shown he is a moron since last night. Still melting and wanting to make excuses for us just getting outplayed. He obviously thinks it's our birthright to win Championship games just because we got there.
