Destin/30A area
It's where the coaches and conference have their yearly meeting, Coach O enjoys some time on the Emerald Coast. And yes, most of the SEC fans do as well. It's become cool to "hate" on it but it's a nice spot to get some time on the beach.
I'll start us off.
I will say Stinky's Fish Camp or Boshamps.

Personally, I don't "hate on it" for the aesthetics or the beach, I just don't prefer to be there with 10,000 other people and have to stand in line to get into an overpriced restaurant.
If I'm going to the coast, I'd rather spend my time around fewer people and go to some local shack with really good food and a decent bar.
To each their own, though.

I’m assuming some SEC fans have been to Daytona for the Race or whatever, I’ll nominate Aunt Catfish’s in Port Orange. Never had a bad meal there.

Another SEC vacation spot is Hilton Head. I like Skull Creek (either Boathouse or dockside)

Agreed with a slight edge to Louis Louis. It's basically Red Bar without the congestion and parking issues.

Destin is becoming trashy. My condo is across the street from public parking. People (families) sleep in their cars, taking showers in the bathroom and leaving it filthy. Litter in the parking lot. .
4th July idiots shooting fireworks out in to the gulf where the marine life live. Cigarette butts, plastic empty water bottles, trash on the beach daily.
I bought this property in the 90's when Destin was pristene. Seriously giving consideration to sell and get the hell out.

Last time we went thru that area we rented a house on Alys Beach. George's was probably our favorite place to eat.

Gotta be some places in Charleston that could compete here.

Recently spend a long weekend near Dahlonega, GA. Throughly enjoyed dinner at Montaluce Winery & Restaurant, Wolf Creek Winery, and Spirits Tavern.

We spent 10 days in Daytona last summer and man what an experience LOL. Florida man eerywhere, most of them from Georgia and South Carolina though it seemed. Can't speak to Aunt Catfish's because in 10 days it was a 2-3 hour wait from the time they opened to they closed and I don't care if it causes multiple orgasms its so good at the end of the day it is only food and who has 2-3 hours to wile away waiting on a table. If they took reservations and it only took an hour I would consider it but it can't be worth 2 hours.

SC Seafood is underated, probably because most people know Dirty Myrtle mainly and if you ain't into Ryan's type restaurants Myrtle Beach probably ain't for you. Charleston has some excellent restaurants and Beaufort is kind of off the beaten track and has excellent restaurants.

Red Bar, Cafe 30A, Louis Louis, or George's get my vote.
Honorable mention to Dewey's because it is just a wonderful hole in the wall.

Yeah Florida man lives in Daytona. Never waited 2 hours there..and if I did I didn’t notice as I always get a few drinks, listen to the live music and relax outside. I’ve definitely waited an hour or so.
