Great improvement however:
Simmons holding call on Brown's long run was non existent, I hope he didnt get chewed out for it.
Koger non catch was a good call.
Tooo many penalties, dropped balls. Ole Scrap Richardson was probably just scraps after coaches got through with him on that foolish block in the back.
Andre Jordan played great, but Andre, on 4 and one, when they throw it 20 yards down field and New Boy breaks up the play.......dont intercept it and cost us 20 yards of field position.
Defense, other than that one drive with missed tackles, played very well. I sense Golesh probably asks the offense repeatedly "why cant you guys play like the defense".
Offensive run play calling and personnel changes on the line seemed to improve things. I saw Zierer get to the second level on blocks, pull well, we may have something with this new line up.
Brown is holding the ball too long and he is not seeing some open plays, or waiting too long to throw it and the window has closed.
Congrats to the fans and the students in particular, they had it rocking.
I forgot to add, Melendez spent the night in the Vet clinic for observation over concerns.......he played like a rabid dog!

Just bullet points so far
DJs defense has played well. Physical and aggressive. We will see how well they play in the next few games when they are up against like competition. I especially like the way we’re playing upfront. Very physical on the line of scrimmage.
We’re having too many penalties. We’re losing too many good plays and yardage by being undisciplined. Must be cleaned up.
BROWN is trying to do too much. Though I love a running quarterback, he is running too much right now. He looks so familiar holding onto the ball and not hitting guys in stride. If he can’t get the ball out quick quicker, it’s going to be a long year.

Love our running backs. All of them. They all run physical and they all run north south. Could not ask for a better group. And Washington, number 30 is very underrated. Dude is a beast.

Starters on O'line needs to shuffled.
BB has got to play faster.
There are several who need to tote a football all week long.... including well into the night.
Special teams need much more of that arse-chewing Coach Joacob was dishing out.
And my confidence in SEC officiating continues to slide.

I agree with everything you said, but am emphasizing the penalties. You can have poor talent and still be disciplined.
The offensive line will struggle mightily against most SEC teams.

I agree on Washington, he is one of these runners who just kind of glides through a hole with great quickness, no one seems to get a good lick on him.
Tia, I was kind of disappointed they did let him throw it more. I realize we were ahead but he and the second group of receivers could have used it. If we dont give him more time in the junk periods we will never know what we have and he will probably just transfer.

From the stadium, it looked like a catch and two feet in before going out.
Did he bobble it? Ruled TD on the field, so it should have been clearly incomplete?

He didn’t secure it completely through the process.
There’s three prongs to the catch rule they consider on reviews. Secure the ball, touch inbounds with your foot and then maintain control long enough to make a football move.
First two prongs were easily met, but when he bobbled it on contact and didn’t have it secure as he was going OOB the call was a relatively easy one.

The replay on that "block in the back" was extremely ticky-tacky.

We beat down an opponent. That was good. Until we beat a quality SEC opponent at night under the lights and big stage, I will still be scarred from Huge Freeze.

If it was an obvious foul then the ref has a job to do. But dont be calling fouls 20 yards behind a TD run on judgment calls that are ruled legal most of the time.

The block in the back was bad, and that holding call on us made me double check we weren't playing AL or UGA or fricking Okie because that's the kinda SEC ref bs we put up with all last season...
