Add Towns to the list of outgoing. Was really hoping the hometown kid would find success, but his kicking at AU was atrocious.
Simmons looked a good bit slower this year compared to last. For a speed guy, he didn’t outrun anybody.

This team makes far too many basic and careless errors.

“You say that he has not had enough "opportunities" with deep-balls, but that is nonsense. They threw multiple to him yesterday and that Bama DB was glued to him the entire game. We've had two WR's in recent history who were clearly more dangerous down-field than Coleman has proven to be: Sammie Coates, and Darius Slayton (who has been a solid NFL receiver for 6 seasons now). Both of those guys were ~20+ YPC receivers at Auburn. Cam Coleman's YPC this season is just 12.7, and last season it was 16.2.”

We also had a QB that consistently led those guys, not throwing behind them. Coleman has had several steps on guys the few times we have gone deep to him, but zero of the throws hit him in stride.
If you don’t think he is freakish athleticism, then you haven’t paid attention. I sat and watched him in high school warm ups and he was more athletic than anybody on AU’s team at the time.
YPC is funny, then you have 2 seconds to throw the ball, your receivers aren’t going to run routes downfield. Their YPC will be down.

Coleman has the tools to be an outstanding WR, but he needs a lot of coaching. He has to learn to give 100% 100% of the time. People complaining about his speed don’t see that he didn’t get many opportunities this year with the lack of QB protection go deep. He is deceptively fast and has more tools than any WR that Auburn has had in a long time-and getting better coaching will bring those out.
Coleman has made some spectacular catches this year, but he also has had a lot of drops and doesn’t necessarily give it 100% every play. He has a lot of growing up to do, and some of that has to do with WR coaching.
Howard might be the worst TE in the country, including high school.
I would think that if it were Durkin, we would pay him 4-4.5 per year at most. That would free up some money to get some of the best coordinators in the game.
That being said, I don’t think it’s Durkin.
Durkin is growing on me too. The defense seems to love him. Keeping him keeps most of the talent on defense, and probably stops several players on the offense from leaving. We could probably get him for under $5 million a year and use the extra money on a top offensive coordinator.
We do not have a home field advantage.

Doing a 5 day free trial of Direct tv streaming.
AU 24, Arkansas 28. Hugh steals Petrino’s motorcycle after and is never heard from again.

What has happened to ruin our 5 star all American kicker from Auburn High?

All of our kickers are much worse than they were when they arrived on campus. Only 1 has an excuse.
15 completions tonight to only 3 receivers.
Too Tall is playing on the other side.
We are 2 tackles, 2 guards, and a center away from having an average offensive line.
