He is right.

But I highly doubt that scrub that got arrested has more leash than the all American.

When did he get arrested anyways

He got arrested in early June for "wreckless endangerment" when on Shug Jordan. Not a whole lot of details on what actually happened there, so could be anything from trying to evade a speeding ticket or something to actually wreckless driving to letting a dangerous dog off its leash. Nothing public on the court appearance in August, so don't know if the case ended up getting thrown out or what. According to Golesh he was punished internally.

ETA: Looks like it may have been fleeing police on a motorcylce. Found this bit on it:

quote:

Womack was initially seen traveling at a high rate of speed when police attempted to pull him over. ... Womack did not stop initially according to reports but was eventually pulled over somewhere on college street after leading police on a chase through the north side of Auburn."

Yeah getting punished in June is different than getting punished in August.

Shouldn't just carry a punishment over a player's head for months when you can handle it then.

I won’t pretend to know what actually happened in his situation. Catch a cop on a wrong day and that’s an arrest, other days it is just a ticket. Have no idea how far the actual chase was. Other hand, he could have been driving like an actual maniac, no clue. However, I wouldn’t say that normally equates missed game time usually, especially a first offense, depending on the full details of what happened.

I have no idea what Atkins did or didn’t do either. From what Hoke has alluded to so far, does sound like whatever has happened, it isn’t the first time. Both cases, we are handling them internally.

This is now a job. Suspension without pay if you don't comport yourself properly.

Now we lose by 27 instead of 21

Gotta have positive culture and see former players like Schwartz and Haha understand that
Truth be told, he will hit the portal as soon as it opens, and sign a multi million dollar deal with a team that we face next year.

That and judges that put themselves higher than the sport and tells schools what the rules are going to be.

But as for this situation, if Golesh was so crooked that he wouldn't punish Womack, to let him play, then there is no way he would punish Atkins.

If that's him its pretty big that they kept it quiet and again a player who wasn't punished while Atkins is suspended.

How can the schools take away pay that they do not administer?

I verified Singleton has that unique middle name and I also know rejects, a message board insider, talked about there being something going on beneath public radar even though there is public information about it.

It's gotta be him

Seems like that's what X is upset about anyways. A double standard. I can see the locker room being factional

We dont know what he did or didnt do so I dont know how you can compare his punishment to another player.

Hopefully this gets his attention and he is the better for it.

Regarding the portal, I bet he signed a two year deal with us.

Yea, i'd say chances are pretty good if that is his middle name, though can't find any pictures with the arrest record. Only info I can find was driving without a license or a suspended/revoked one, and driving a vehincle without registration or missing tag. Can't find any actual arrest records though for the incident on any site, so it is possible it was just a citation and not an actual arrest & booking. Who knows at this point.

I guess Reject's post could also have been about the Atkins situation as well.

So that's 2 players arrested who didn't miss a snap for it and Atkins gets suspended for "attitude"... Sorry but I can't support that BS double standard. Its clear favorites are getting a pass. I think its funny we never heard a bad word about Atkins all last year or in preseason, but suddenly he's this big problem.

I mean, I'd probably want to at least know what actually happened before calling out double standards. Not all things require missed playing time, nor should they. We have no clue what punishments Womack or Singleton received, but that doesn't mean they weren't punished; in Womack's case, Golesh explicity stated he was internally. If there is a double standard, then the team is complicit in it as players petitioned Golesh and Durkin for this, apparently.

Personally I think if you get arrested you should at least miss the first series of the next game. Especially if you get arrested in another state during a game week for something stupid.

I can see why some players are sensing favoritism and I doubt this is the last we hear about it. As of right now I'm not expecting Atkins to come back.. his draft stock is already locked in, so I can see him just being done with it all.
