Anyone want to take a guess as to who his OC at USF is this season? Kodi Burns.

USF was 1-8, 2-10, 1-11 the years prior to his arrival.
This is the key thing. He took a horrendous program and instantly made them competitive.
Overall I am happy with the hire.

F*** yeah! This might turn out to be the best hire of anyone this year!

It sounds like Durkin is staying as DC.
I think it was as good a hire as we could have made considering some of the "bigger" names that turned us down.
ETA I am actually more excited than if it was Sumrall.

Cohen has went from being a complete idiot and “has to go” to making the best hire at Auburn since William Leroy Broun hired John Heisman.
Yall menopausal women tickle the shite out of me

As an Auburn fan, I reserve the right to behave as a young woman with pms. Weapy post last night boo-hooing about giving up AU football, over the moon due to a surprise hire today. I am what Auburn football has made me. Hahaha.

That's why ai kept asking if we preferred Golesh or Sumrall.
Golesh brings so much upside with his offense. Sumrall only brings upside if he stays ahead of the curve on AC hires.

6 years $7.4M per. Great deal. Cohen handled it perfectly.
Damn. That’s actually a great deal TBH. Golesh wins, he will be getting a big raise anyways.

Consensus among rival fans on that thread is that we made a great hire.

nah, its still frick him. You won't convince me otherwise that he wasn't prepared to saddle us with Durkin until the fanbase had a nuclear meltdown in the last 48 -72 hours. Golesh is here because we turned up the heat

Looks like we won this round.
They absolutely fricked themselves hard by waiting around for Lane to decide. They played this about as bad as possible.

because we aren't willing to pay. That's all it is. We offered Sumrall $6, Ole Miss offered him $8 and UF $10.
When will posters admit they don’t know shite? Florida is paying him 7.5 per year

Golesh feels like a better mesh of Offense and Defense if we're really trying to keep Durkin. Golesh/Durkin feels like a better fit than Sumrall/Durkin.
Now, I stand by my thoughts that you can't handcuff a losing staff to an incoming coach, but if Durkin was a priority, he and Golesh make more sense..

Go get Glenn Schumann from UGA. We need someone from a winning program who knows what a well-run, winning program looks and operates like
This is how I felt as well. I hope he doesnt turn into Kirby Jr at another school. Oh well, the anticipation is over. I really hope Golesh can get Auburn to the top like they could be. Im not hyped right now, but it usually wont take much. Im sure I'll have found enough reasons to convince myself Auburn can win them all the coming year.
