Maybe Cohen needs to get Bo Jackson and/or Bruce Pearl to call Sumrall.

Would absolutely kill recruiting

I guarantee you Cohen screwed this up by giving Sumrall ultimatums about staff.

Sure sounds like it, and pretty easy to see coming unless you're a moron who works at Auburn. Add in Florida having no state income tax too. We blew it, again.

Indiana turned their program around in 2 years. Recruiting isn’t what it used to be. Pay em and they’ll come.

If Sumrall ends up at OM or UF, he needs to be immediately relieved of his coaching search duties.

I’m sick of the rollercoaster ride we endure every season. I’ve been so apathetic toward the football program watching our rivals rise

We screwed the pooch once with Kirby, and now rumored again with Sumrall. It was gift wrapped for us; great coach, AL native, wife AU grad and we fumbled.

If so, we can only wish he is Sunbelt Billy 2.0 and we dodged it. If he’s a he next Kirby @ UF.. we’ll…

Okay so should we be worried or not? I was fine until UF put the full court press on Sumrall. It seems like he’s wanted Auburn for a while based on ties/origin. And I find it hard to believe UF would make another non-P4 hire…

Does any other school have these stipulations of wanting to keeps parts of the fired staff? That is so stupid. Lets the new guy know right off that it isn’t his show.

We did it with Harsin, too and with a completely different AD. Makes you wonder if Cohen really is calling the shots.

It’s not a roller coaster anymore.

Auburn is very much a reward your own type of school. Listen to the marble mouths we have calling the games, doing color and working the sidelines. All nice guys but none of them have any business in broadcasting

I think the Sumrall/ Durkin comparison is 6 of one half a dozen of the other.

I'm cracking jokes, but this shite is really pissing me off. The guy has a losing record, as a head coach.

Somebody needs to tell Cohen this roster is 16-21(7-17) the last 3 seasons; they can all frick off, too.

I don't understand how anyone can come to that conclusion.

First and foremost, I’m pissed at how this “search” has gone.

On the other hand, I’m excited at what DJ Durkin could potentially do here.

James Franklin should have been the move from the beginning, but I’m still not sold on Sumrall. I like who DJD has been under with Harbaugh and Meyer.

He's not.

Just because some of the money men change, bit doesn't mean the culture changes.

Yella Fella is still around. Lowder has been replaced by Harbert. Not sure about Ginn as he is in his late 80s, and not sure if anyone else in his family are movers and shakers. I also have a feeling Bob Broadway has some input behind the scenes as well.
