I felt really good after the tourney title game but I think the stress of the opening round game with NMSU set me back to the ice age.

I walked away differently from that game.

It was a classic, we looked like an elite team that thought we had it in the bag and turned the lights off. Extremely hard to turn the lights back on in the 2H when your opponent is surging

Against a 30+ win squad. They set us up for failure at every step in the NCAA's, but we went to the final four. Should've at the very least been in the title game if not for some bullshite.

There isn't a great team or teams this year. We could beat any team in the country but we could legitimately lose to about 65 of the teams as well.

The Athletic Bubble Watch still doesn't quite have us as a lock
quote:

Auburn (20-2, 7-2; NET: 16, SOS: 46): Remember when Auburn looked like it was wobbling? It was only mid-January, after all, when a then-untested 15-0 team got smacked at Alabama and beaten by 22 at Florida in a matter of four days. Since then, of course, the Tigers have rattled off five consecutive wins, including most recently over Kentucky and Tuesday in overtime at Arkansas. They’re only sixth in per-possession offense and sixth defensively in league play, so there will almost certainly be losses to come. Still: 20-2 is 20-2.

I've only seen us as a 'lock' on like one or two bubble watches. It's honestly pretty crazy. Even if we only win half of the games that we're expected to win, we should easily be a lock.

I never know if Bubble Watch authors define locks as "if this team loses every game the rest of the way, they are in" or "this team will easily win enough of their remaining games, they are in"

....for every single program in America except for one (and maybe none).

What a stupid comment!

Apparently Samir was sick before the Arkansas game... didn’t practice till shoot around.

Nothing other that that... but it wouldn’t surprise me.

Per Hooks, a few are resting to be as fresh as possible tomorrow.

Said Samir has barely practiced this week.

Fortunately, we still have enough good players to go 5 on 5 in practice and improve

What was up with Wiley's lack of playing time against Arkansas? Was something wrong with him or was he just ineffective?

He was super ineffective. It was turnover central trying to feed him inside against Arkansas.

He got in early foul trouble. That limited his minutes.

Like auyushu said......when he was in the game, we couldn't get him the ball.

Yeah, seems like Pearl adjusted the personnel slightly based on how Arky was playing us. It’s nice that we have that ability.

Ineffectiveness. I actually thought he played too much. Love Wiley but that’s a tough matchup for him
