I do not see 13-5 winning the conference this year.

Current Rankings LSU 8-1, UK 7-2, Auburn 7-2.. If we assume home teams win (May Not Happen), I see at least one of the teams going 14-4...

LSU @ Auburn, Bama, South Carolina, Florida, Arkansas (Toughest home game UK)
Auburn @ Mizzou, UGA, UK, UT.. (Toughest Home Game LSU)
UK @ UT, Vandy, LSU, Florida, TAMU (Toughest home game Auburn).

Crazy how we are already back to this convo after those b2b losses a couple of weeks ago.

Not saying they will lose 4 more but they have 6 tough games left & 5 of them on the road so it's possible

@ AU
@ Bama
UK
@ SC (Never can tell which skitso Cocky team shows up)
@ Florida
@ Arky

I think Kentucky is the most likely to go 14-4 but ends up 13-5

I think LSU goes 13-5 at best

I think AU goes 12-6

I think we'll have to pull the upset in Rupp to win the conference.
If we win Saturday I don't. At that point we may go no worse than 14-4 ourselves.

I honestly don't see us doing worse than 13-5.

Agreed. We have 4 Quad 2 & 2 Quad 3 games left. We should get 5 of those at least. I think we can take at least 1 of our Quad 1 games left in LSU, @ UK, or @ UT.

If we win against LSU, I’m going to have to do some introspection and figure out if I should still have doubts about this team, or if it’s just my pessimistic nature of things that’s preventing buying into this team.

Jang that’s a reasonable approach... considering the sporadic scoring streaks on O the kids play tough to squeak out the wins. If we win Saturday I think at worst we end the regular season at 14-4.

Well they are by no means the sexiest team. They are just Rudy-ing their way through the season although with more talent than Rudy Rudiger had.

Splitting the 4 road games... and going 4-1 at home... gets you to 13-5. Anything above that is gravy.

Nah, your opinions on this team are probably pretty accurate. They aren't a great team. They are a good team. They just find ways to win. That is probably the only "great" attribute this team has. They just find a way to win.

It really is amazing how this season has gone. The good thing about them is though, if they can get hot, we are dangerous. Look at the game against UGA earlier in the season. Our shooters are streaky, but if we can get 2+ of them being streaky in the same game, we can really put a hurt on people.

The weird thing about this team is you could put against any team in the country any given night and I would give us a solid chance of winning.

I never had that kind of confidence last season even after we ran thru 3 straight blue bloods. I didn't feel like we belonged until about halftime of the Virginia game

That's where I think we fall too.

I don't see us winning 3 more road games. We struggle too much and always have to comeback to win(the last 2 in OT).

And I can see us losing at least 1 home game w/ a hot visitor.

That is my worry about us in any tournament game. If any team gets really hot(like the FL or AL game), we don't have the offense to overcome it. All it takes is one.

Any team that does not play suffocating defense like UVA or Texas Tech.

Watching us go against a pack line defense like UVA would be painful considering we can't shoot and rely on rebounding

.

Dang really? I knew after we beat Tennessee for the 2nd time in the SEC tourney that we could hang with just about anyone.

It took me until SEC championship game to know we were going to be special. We ran Tennessee out of the gym and I was like yep, we bad!!!

Once we realized

"Hey, if we drive and dish to the open 3 we will score a F ton of points."

and

"Chuma Okeke realizes he can post up small players / drive by big players and hit open 3s"

I realized we were one of the best teams in the country. My only concern was that we'd revert into stagnant offense, no movement and no passing

I felt really good after the tourney title game but I think the stress of the opening round game with NMSU set me back to the ice age.

Bruce told the team before the game the first game is always the hardest to win in a tournament and there's a lot of truth to that.
