He has built an intimidating home court advantage. Students and fans show up in droves. MF impressive. I want to find who threw that bagel at him and beat their arse though.

Kenpom may be onto something with Purdue. Just put up 104 against Iowa.

While I normally defend Kenpom, a legitimate gripe is that he does not cap or adjust scoring margin in his efficiency

Purdue and the Big10 in general run up scores to the tune of 30-40+. That dramatically improves your KenPom net rating, even on adjusted basis

It is one of the reasons AU is low in the rankings. We have only 5 wins of about 20+ pts by comparison, none against top teams

So LSU is going down to Vandy, meaning our showdown will give us a chance to move into a tie for first in the league

Control our own destiny for the league again. Feels good man.

I remember shrugging off those really fortunate LSU conference wins, and then seeing them come back to annoy the shite out of everybody because they were suddenly so far ahead in the standings. LSU fans probably felt the same way after our games with Arkansas and OM. Oopsie.

Yeah it’s cool we can take first place but I’d almost rather them have won tonight

We play our game and we win. If we lose then we deserve it.

I would rather us be able to control our own destiny. We can do that now.

As it stands today, Teamrankings projects LSU, AU, and UK all at 13-5 in the conference. I wouldn't be surprised with that outcome at all.

kenpom has us rated #2 under his LUCK metric. I guess that is a catch all for what he cannot explain, the so called anomalies

They always are. They still have to travel to LSU and Florida. Both will challenge UK. I think they finish 14-4 at worst. I think we'll have to pull the upset in Rupp to win the conference.

I think that is best case.

They have no depth and FR/Hagans are incredibly inconsistent.

You're not wrong but it's usually right around now Calipari teams start playing their best ball and find their best lineups. I think they would benefit from more Brooks and Juzang and less Sestina.

I think the potential Co champ of the regular season in the SEC is ridiculous.... a hypothetical scenario... is that if AU wins out, LSU's only remaining loss is to AU, than we end up co-champs together?

That was goofed up in 2018, and it's still goofed up in 2020 IMO!
