Y'all sound like Bo Nix and Seth Williams today on live TV for the whole world to see, like recruits.

It is early, but it is being discussed. No decision has been made. 8 years is enough. Gus will be a rich man for a long time. 5-5 he is gone.

Would love to see a change it's needed now. I was a strong Gus supporter but this year has got to be the year. People will say the $$ is too high but AU will lose more money to keep Gus. All his teams get worse, with the talent we have a new coach would immediately compete. I still feel Bo could be a great qb with a new coach.

I think a issue this year will be availability of coaching targets. But if they are gonna do it, I’d also like to see them do it while our talent is OK.

The pro to making a move this year is that there are likely going to be fewer teams searching for a HC which would mean less competition. Cristobal is a legit option that would make financial sense. I was shocked when someone mentioned how low his contract is so I looked it up and it’s only like $2.6 million/yr.

I doubt we'll get a sexy big-name hire. Any top tier candidate will point to Gus' contract and say "Top that", and I'm not sure it's a reality for Auburn paying multiple lofty contracts at once. I'm expecting a tier 2 candidate, hopefully someone we can snag before his stock elevates into tier 1 territory...

Nope. No one is going to be competitive with our OL and DL.

This is an issue every year. We are 0-13 on the road against Bama, LSU, and Georgia. It’s time to move on. We are no longer competitive and haven’t been in quite a while.

Called a dude autistic because he made about 100 shite posts in a row. Didn’t make fun of anyone.

Anyhow, the big fear from some of y’all is “becoming the next Tennessee” if we got rid of Gus. Well, we’ve become the next Tennessee because we KEPT Gus, and it happened because he didn’t recruit the trenches and left his running offense. We are officially the new Tennessee.

I’m checked out until we get a new coach. Peace.

Ah, we'll hire a tier 2 candidate that we'll be lukewarm for but convince ourselves that it's a good hire. We'll pay that candidate tier 1 $ and install a ridiculous buyout that would cripple a nation to get out from under. And we'll hope for the best.

I don’t believe this, and deep down I don’t think you do either.

I think a reasonably competent staff would have us at 3-1 with more convincing wins over UK and Arky, a win yesterday, and a far closer loss to UGa under identical circumstances.

I thought the offensive line did a decent job yesterday. Bo was bailing when he didnt need to and there were some running holes.

It wasnt perfect but its not like they were earlier in the year

It isn't very high on the contract totem pole........but what is his buyout?

We will owe Gus basically $21.5M. I am not sure what the rest of the staff will cost, but it wouldn't surprise me if it's pushing another $5M. With all the bells and whistles, it would probably cost $30M to get Cristobal here..............before the new staff is even hired. Will our money people spend that much?

I have heard to buy out Malzahn and the current staff would be 30-35 million.
