My point is, that game. That loss eliminated Oregon from the playoffs and pretty must eliminated the Pac12. Same as Washington the year before.

I have to disagree with you that nobody cared about it.

Big games are important. That was one of them. But like I said, we are on two different pages. Not sure there will be any common ground.

Agree Spots I will go on record as I do not want the Lane Train that's just a problem waiting to happen and do not want Hugh Freeze quite frankly. I think we are stuck with Gus for 2021. Yall watch and see that if we tell Gustav to frick off it will be some a-hole like Rhett Lashlee.

If and when it happens and Gus is let go, the PTB, IMO will not hire ANYONE that has had any coaching ties to Gus and his offensive philosophy.

They will look for someone that has similar goals of an offense like the ones run at Alabama, GA, LSU, etc...

not GA. What is impressive about Kirby is how he sets O back 20 years and still recruits offensive players. If you are a top QB, I am avoiding UGA.

I haven't met anyone who think Gus needs anymore time. Who are these people?

He had support all through last season from some.

Still probably does have support from very few.

disagree. replace Bennett with Trevor Lawrence and UGA is Clemson. I’m not trying to take anything away from Dabo, but a great quarterback can make you elite in a hurry.

They have a five star QB on the roster and ran off the second best QB in the nation in favor of a glorified insurance salesman.

Yep, there is nothing similar about Clemson's O and UGA's O.

In retrospect, it was a bad decision to go with Fromm but at the time, it honestly was the right decision

I doubt it I was probably one of the last Gus supporters because I thought he was better than most names mentioned before. This year ended that. I think anyone would do better even if it is just to ignite a spark like Gus did in 2013

Except that it didn't eliminate them from the playoffs at all. Going into November 23rd they were ranked 6th and Oklahoma was ranked 8th. Oklahoma had lost to unranked Kansas State whereas Oregon's only loss was to us - a Top 15 ranked opponent. Had they beaten Arizona State, and continued on to beat Utah in the same fashion that they did - they would have taken Oklahoma's spot. Utah was also a higher ranked conference title opponent than Baylor, and Oregon's margin of victory in their title game was considerably greater than Oklahoma's (they had to beat Baylor in OT).

Of course every big game is important; but there is a reason why those "top matchups" are scheduled for opening week - it gives both teams the opportunity to bounce back even if they lose. Oregon's big loss was to unranked Arizona State on November 23rd; not the opening game loss to us.

Support last year =/= support this year.

You’re right. I meant from an overall recruited talent and development level on both sides of the ball.
