He made a point to give props to many of the players, and he did everything he could do to say the coaching sucks without actually saying it. He sounded embarrassed for sure, but I'm glad he said it.

Loved how every other game was a pretty objective breakdown, but when he got to AU/Vandy it turned into an Auburn rant
You can tell he was restraining himself a little, but he spits some hard and uncomfortable facts.

Not only was Gus better against Saban, he was 3-1 against Freeze too, so I still can't figure out why some people were falling over themselves to hire this liability in the first place..

I've become a passive fan since Freeze was hired. Meaning, I'll support the players out of loyalty, but the university isn't getting a nickel from me until this sh!tstain gets replaced. 7 points. 12 carries for Hunter. A time out at 2:01. An inexplicable FG attempt. A dumbass flea-flicker attempt. This is our offensive guru, folks.
7 points. 12 carries for Hunter. Freeze is a bum.
Not that it's gonna matter, but there was absolutely no reason to call a time out there...

I thought it was time for Gus to go, but I hate that losing him eventually brought us to Freeze. "But, but, Freeze beat Bama!" Yeah, so did Gus. And Gus was 3-1 against Freeze too, so how much of an upgrade is this really? I mean, if Gus was given a blank check to work with, I can't imagine he'd be doing THIS badly right now...
Funny thing was when I rewound the game to show everyone the same exact thing, I rewound it too far, but I saw at least a half-dozen other poofie hairdos and mullets before returning to that image
Maybe I'm the only one who feels this way, but considering a shite ton of IBs were played at "neutral" Legion Field before 1989, I'm actually impressed we kept the all-time series record as close as we have in spite of that....
3rd and 25, they got us where they want us, lol

re: Why did we lose

I keep hearing the "but Harsin left the cupboard bare" argument, and that may be true, but we would've won at least 6 of our last 7 if the coaches were capable of fielding at least a somewhat competently prepared team. And if all things were equal up to and including 4th and 31, we would've won that game too, going a perfect 7-0. If Hugh can't correct getting everyone's heads on straight, things aren't gonna get much better with a full cupboard either...
A mediocre coach would've been 6-1 in those games, so I don't know what the frick you'd call Freeze. And if that same mediocre coach was also faced with a 4th and 31 situation, he'd be 7-0 instead. No other team wanted this clown, so of course it was a great idea to bring him and his baggage aboard...

This is where I’m at with Auburn Football. It’s a sad reality but it’s neccessary.

To be clear, if it was an SEC matchup or sexy OOC game, I would've stayed home and watched. But New Mexico? I repeat, there was no upside. If we win, big whoop, and if we lose, I'm insufferable around my family all night. I said I expected to be downvoted, but judging by the mood of the game thread I browsed through, the joke's not on me for going, especially since these things called DVRs exist, should I have decided to watch afterward...
I'll probably get downvoted for not being as sadistic as the rest of you, lol, but I ended up going to see Jim Jefferies, Mark Normand, and Dan Soder at the Fox Theater instead. I figured there was no upside to staying home and hand-wringing over New Mexico, win or lose, so I decided to enjoy myself instead. Coming out of the venue afterward, I checked what the score was at the time, and it reinforced my belief that I made the right decision ??
Can't believe the guy still gets work, and for big projects no less. After seeing The Happening, I checked out for good. I actually rented it on a whim for free at the library, and I still spent too much, since I wasted fuel returning it.

Funny (or sad) thing is, if you're tipped off ahead of time that it's one of his "plot twist" movies you're seeing, they're actually pretty easy to figure out if you're looking for it, which pretty much leaves zero payoff...

Cliff Notes observation: we got our asses whipped by a bunch of got damned nerds.
All I know is, #3 for Cal caught as many passes from Thorne as any of Auburn's receivers, and Thorne had more carries than Hunter. Not much else to say.
I'm still salty enough that I hope as Freeze gets near the podium, someone stops him and says "Sorry, no visitors allowed".
