I don’t think so.

I’m sure Sexton is floating his name for A&M , etc

Extend current deal one year, up incentives, but no need to go crazy ever again.

Win a nattie, get a 10 million dollar bonus.
Float rumors about leaving after one big win, call the bluff.

I may be wrong but I dont think Texas AM is interested in Hugh.

I think they have their sites on someone else.

Bjork may go down into the history books

Paying 76 million to get out over the program being "stuck in neutral" will be examined for years to come.

If they only ended up hiring brother Hugh freeze then Congress might get involved. lol!

Why would aTm let him make the next hire didn’t he up the last contract? Seems like they would have cleaned house on everything around Jimbo and that massive guaranteed contract

Freeze’s name hasn’t been mentioned in anything I’ve seen.

Y’all just want problems I think

But no he hasn’t done anything to warrant a raise as of now.

We ain't doin this b/c of Jimho being fired, that's for sure. Hugh won't get a raise until he shows something next year, and even then it better be 8+, it's wild to think we could have a chance at 8 wins THIS year. If you compare Alabama's score vs Arkansas as opposed to our score you might think, maybe an Iron bowl win?

Some of you need to take a look at Freeze's reported contract. It's on the internet ....

There are bonuses and raises within .....

He gets a bonus for a Bowl game this year.

He gets a retention bonus of 225,000 for being a good boy.

Bonuses for higher elevation Bowl Games

Bonuses for Title Games.

The way a contract should be written.

I still haven’t actually seen the contract. All of the past Auburn coaches had their contract released by FOIA request. I know details have been released, but I just like to read it (even though I have no say ).

A contract is not a raise, that's part of the contract. A raise would be a whole new contract with higher numbers for those same items, you

Let’s never go past 5 years on contracts if we can. If you want to give a raise and extension wait until you get to the 2 years remaining and extend it 3 years back out to 5 if it’s looking that way.

AU got raked over the coals taking a chance on Hugh and getting him back up to the big leagues...that should be enough of a "raise" to not have to deal with Sexton's bullshite for a year or two.

That's the way I see it too NGT. He is lucky to be here honestly. To have this job. Dude created a huge mess with his only SEC job, then got demoted to pee wee ball. He now has the best job he ever has had. He should just be happy with that until he has achieved something worth a raise or any kind of extention

Yep. If Hugh comes sniffing for a raise, I hope AU would gently remind him why no one outside of Lee county were beating his door down at Liberty with their HC opening.

It’s like Auburn fans think every year either ends with a new contract or a firing. Let’s wait until Hugh has us in the playoff discussion before we even start mentioning raises

The problem with that...........if you are doing a good job, another school will always offer more. You can't get cheap in this day and age. Extend the contract one year with a raise. Hugh has beaten everybody he was supposed to beat. His recruiting has us on pace to get back to where we should be. He took over a total rebuild. I don't think there is a HC that could be doing a better job for us.

Coaching salaries and contracts are out of whack. Yes some of the money comes from TV, but a lot comes from fans. We spent $91 million on the football facility. In the last two years Jimbo has been paid more than that ($76 Million buyout and $18 million for two years salary, so $94 million).

The Genie is out of the bottle, but no coach is worth that.
