I dont expect 5 Starters to return. If any, I expect guys that got a dose of reality in the portal and ask to come back and they are retained for depth. On a limb Ill say 1 starter will return.
I believe 0 is the most likely answer

I could see Amaris and Jay Crawford coming back outside of those two I doubt we’d wait on anyone.

I could see that. But also not sure if they would allowed back. I guess it all depends on how this portal goes for Auburn. I think the big question is, how many does players does Auburn need in the portal? 30-ish?

Id couldn't imagine us taking less than that if their is the opportunity but that's a big if. Its time for schools to consider having less guys similar to NFL especially that recieve NIL to get the most quality/quanity possible.
Its basically a given we take Brown. Being the centerpiece of this team you would think he would announce today. I know other recruits are gonna want to know who the QB will be. Think he announces today? Or is CAG timing his announcement for later for the most publicity

I would have a 50-55 man roster than a practice squad.

Cam isnt worth more than 2. I wont be shocked if he isnt back at Auburn.
If I were AG, I wouldn’t let him come back once he left campus for a visit. I’d rather have Jay Crawford, Amaris, and Blockton.
With basically two weeks to fill your roster, if you don’t commit on the visit, we move on.

When I was at UNA, we had a 55 man travel squad, and that dropped to 52 once we got to the playoffs.
Our coaches really had to manage who dressed for games- the number of offensive linemen, defensive linemen, linebackers, receivers, etc…

Do you truly believe if he was competing for SEC championships every year we wouldn't have seen an uptick in wr and o line recruiting? Ill concede we would lose a dude or two bc the negative recruiting angle is real but to act like it's this unmovable obstacle is ridiculous.
Uh, yes, the Gus system clearly became an unmovable object at least for '18, '19, and '20.
The reports of Braden Smith lacking NFL ready skills / development came out.
2017 we were right there for the SEC Championship, so just based on winning we should have been able to recruit better.

Safety Bryce Anderson from A&M is visiting on Saturday. Former Top 100 recruit out of HS who was a multi-year starter but got injured and barely played this season.

The schools have 15 days to try and fill their roster,
players can only officially enter the purple crayon ($1 to jang) starting today thru 1/16, but they can sign with their new schools at any time
obviously they may have enrollment deadlines that are driven by their individual schools, but is that even relevant anymore?

Sounds like a great player, Safety is one of the positions that hasn't really been hit by the portal though. Maybe some of the Safeties can play CB.

Good grief. How many games did we win those years?

2 things.
1. We lost the SEC championship and the bowl game, finished with 4 losses, and the rest of the country was watching Bama and UGA still play for the natty a month later.
And 2. It takes a lot more than losing one conference championship to sustain any sort of momentum, and frankly build any sort of momentum. The pro potential thing was a tree in the forest of issues.
