Yeah that Reddit post is a bunch of BS.

The point of this is we are sick and tired of losing. We know that many of the guys leaving are very talented but need coaching, discipline and leadership!

We supposedly hired a HC that can also produce a prolific O. Put that with Durkin and we could have something to look forward to in 2026. Wait, hold the phone…. everyone is bailing for potentially more money and/or opportunity (yet we have 30 mil and plenty of opportunity).

Smoking weed being painted as a drug problem lol. News flash for that guy, but the players will be smoking weed under the new coach too.. just like every other school.

We are just in the phase where some people have to act like every player leaving was bad and was what was holding Auburn back and now everything is going to work perfectly because we got rid of them. Not saying everyone is like that, but there is a group.

Is On3 board good place to get info, or are we getting the same nuggets from Smurph and Co at times?

I’m debating whether it’s worth the money to join and tunnel info to here for everyone.

First, nothing in the post mentioned weed so I can only assume that you're throwing out a plug for weed.

Second, nothing in that post appears to be at all legitimate.

I have no idea of the validity, but it’s not a Reddit post someone took it from On3 and posted it there. The post was backed up by a Hoke, who just a few pages back we were taking his word as the gospel.

Again don’t know if this stuff is true or not but it wasn’t shut down by their mods.

It said drug problem and I know what it meant. Just like it tried to pretend Crawford getting arrested was some giant secret deal when we already know he got arrested for... weed. That poster has an angle.

Smoking weed is one of those things that is only acceptable in sports if you are successful. Given how many players we had who CLEARLY underperformed here, it isn't out of line to question how much fun some guys were having and what their priorities were.

Nobody should give a shite if Randy Moss smokes weed, but its a completely different discussion if we are discussing some kid we paid out the arse who can't even get onto the field. Freeze is a player's coach and he ran a slack ship, this is nothing new as it was the same story at Ole Miss. A lot of the recruit-first coaches are this way, which is part of the reason why they recruit so well in the first place.

Good luck finding a college age athlete who doesn't smoke weed.

Also I just find it hilarious if you asked those same people yesterday about Cam they would have told you he's a team leader and one of the hardest workers, but today he stay out late partying lol. If they said stayed up late playing video games I would have believed that.

This isn't directed at you Meta, just the end of the thread so far.

The reason I am so relaxed on this whole thing is a little bit of hope in Golesh. I have a couple different friends that are UT boosters and both think we made a great hire and they both love him. They both say that they have gotten progressively worse since he left and think he had a lot to do with Heupel's success up there.

They both think he can do great things so until he proves otherwise, I will too.

Losing these players sucks but there is no one on a 5-7 team, that hasn't had a winning season since 2020, that isn't irreplaceable. talent be damned in this situation, we have had a losers mentality for awhile.

Someone else said Cam wants to be at AU, but TAMU has been tampering and will outbid us. We ain't going over 2M.

You talk with a lot of absolutes. It should be a part of their contract. Who wants a bunch of potheads on their football team? Tell them to go play basketball

Wut? Pretty much 100% of fans wanted him back including myself, but nobody would call him the one of the hardest workers on the team. Dude was called out fairly consistently during the season for taking plays off, being lackadaisical in terms of blocking, and having mental errors and alligator arms occasionally on crossing routes.

Cam has talent out the butt and I'd have loved to have him back, but he isn't some guy I look at as some relentlessly hard worker on the field.

If Cam really wants to be at AU, then he should tell his agent to frick off and that he's staying at AU. from what i saw earlier today, his agent is wanting 2.5m and from what i've gathered, his agent is a real dirtbag and is super hard to negotiate with. these kids don't understand, the agent works for them, not the other way around.

Is it tampering if you go through his agent or are there restrictions on that?

I’m thinking his finalists will be Texas, Ohio State and Auburn.

The agent’s job is also to look out for the player in spite of player.

A career in sport is an ephemeral thing. There’s nothing inherently wrong with trying to make as much money as possible.

No, there's not, assuming that agent really has the best interest of the player in mind. a lot of these so called "agents" are only trying to make more money for themselves though regardless of what's best for the player. like i said, from some reading, Cam's agent seems to be a dirtbag and super hard to negotiate with on top of that.

Until we start stacking L's next season, I look forward to the season. The overall perception will be about as positive as it is negative today after the portal. Barring a portal disaster the next season cant be any worse than this year. We either get better and win, or quit being competitive and having our hopes crushed every Saturday. The same as every year, most are gonna go into the season with O&B glasses and see every game as winnable, and the rest are gonna expect a disaster and suggest closing the doors. Neither side is wrong, being an Auburn fan has shown me preseason hype has zero relation to how the season goes. History repeats itself and Auburn is due an Indiana turnaround. Hopefully the lockerroom flips and its this year.

Oh yeah, B.Brown for Heisman
