Tons of cap spaces cleared with him and Perry gone.

Im sure we saved a ton of cap money missing on Womack as well.

We will ask others to take a pay cut, we will see if they accept it or hit the portal. Guys like Xavier Chaplin, Damonta Waller, Joe Phillips. Its not a tough conversation. We keep having to go to the portal to get edges, and pay good money, while you sit on the bench collecting big checks.

Demarcus Riddick is another, I know he was playing hurt. I also know Atkins is due a big pay raise and its got to come out of someone in the room. Cut his pay, if he comes back from injury and has a good season, well good, then we are even cause you collected a big paycheck for two years and gave us 13 tackles this past season?

Early names I’ve heard with a lot of buzz.

Byrum Brown QB - USF
Koger WR - USF
Keshawn Singleton WR - USF

Feel like those are expected a little bit.

Fun fact: Koger is from St Francis Academy. Will the pipeline continue?

At this point we should be calling him Doctor Finley.

im good with this. Two big bodied receivers that know what Golesh wants out of the gate and can help bring the others along and their quarterback that knows his system already.

We have Baylor to open and then Jac State and Southern Miss after that, so that gives an opportunity for early playing time and tuning in after Baylor.

Hell, if he has one or two offensive linemen that wants to come, we need depth and experience.

JLee said that Koger told him Woodby is his bff, course all those saint francis kids say that, Im wondering if Woodby is a pseudonym for Kevin Bacon.

Stealing from the Vandy plan... I like it.

Would be awesome for him to come to us but it could and probably will blow other things up. I guess you have to decide what you want because you are not going to be able to keep everyone.

If we get Brown and keep Ashton, would that be acceptable?

No Brown and roll the dice with Deuce and Ashton?

Is Ashton willing to sit?

Glad I dont have to make that decision

Ashton and Byrum Brown are redundant. They both only have one season left. If you are playing your backup QB then you either have an injury, or the offense is way underperforming expectations.

This kid didn't have a single reception in their first 4 games and then proceeded to put up ~530 yards and 7 TD's in 8 games as a true freshman.

if it is a choice, you get brown, ask Ashton to find another place to play or to sit and use Deuce as your backup to bring him along for a year or two of playing time.

Brown is to buy you time to get Deuce into the system without overwhelming him.
