I will start

February - lose my job
February - May - Covid Quarantine
May - get diagnosed with cancer
May-June - treat for said cancer

All in all, I would still give it a 7. I have had the best moments with my family over these last few months and wouldn’t give that up for the world.

Treatment is annoying - having to make lots of trips to Houston but Prognosis is good

I have a family friend with prostate cancer thats being treated in Houston. He has the means to seek treatment just about anywhere and he chose Houston. It's the best place to go currently. Keep us updated

Like a 3. Got engaged, still have jobs, gotba new nephew, will be getting married and buying a house this year. Just got off the phone with a company that is trying to hire me with I think a substantial raise.

Just very stressed right now.

My 2019 was so shitty that somehow 2020 hasn’t felt that awful.

Glad the prognosis is good. Gonna party like a mother when this shite is over with

Probably a 5
Wife and I kept our jobs and worked through all the shite.
Wife got diagnoses with a super rare blood disease in May, but found out with high dose chemo and a stem cell transplant, she will survive this. Daughter finished HS, and enrolled in the college of her choice. Could have been better, but could have been much worse as well.

Glad your treatments are going well brother.

Sorry bud. Mine was okay until today. My 4 yo daughter went to the doc today. We thought she might have a bladder infection because she tries to hold it and not go to the bathroom. Instead we were told she might have diabetes. So my year when from okay to possibly shitty.

Hope you make it through. frick cancer

Good luck with your cancer treatments man, hope all goes well for you.

Overall I don't feel like my year can be called too shitty, realistically. Maybe a 3/10 just due to all that's happened. None of my relatives have caught Corona as of yet luckily, so hopefully that continues, particularly for my parents.

As a high teacher teaching the online school stuff completely and utterly sucked, but at least I continued to have a job, so can't really complain there.

So sorry to hear of your cancer. I don’t have anything life threatening currently so my experience pales in comparison.

but I will say that due to Coronavirus, I’ve gotten to see my two boys, 6 and 2, every day and all day for 3 months. I’ve taught them to fish, swim, ride a bike and the 2 year old has basically developed a full vocab, which is a result of me being home. I honestly think I may look back at this time and realize it may have been a earthly hell, but a personal blessing.

My grandad had a heart attack in Jan but narrowly survived. He had stints put in that night, and luckily no open heart surgery. My grandmother started radiation therapy for breast cancer she was diagnosed with near Christmas. Both are doing well now. My family is extremely lucky and thankful for this.

Wife got laid off from her job as a Dental Hygeinist because of COVID but unemployment plus the $600 extra was a little less than what she normally takes home. She got a new job at a pediatric office with better hours, so it was just a minor set back.

I kept my job but have had a temporary pay reduction and the company let 14 people go Friday. I don't think it was necessary but I guess our board didn't want to take a pay cut themselves... My department lost a guy that had been there over 20 years. It really put a lot of things into perspective that they do that care how long you've been working for, you're just a number on a spreadsheet.

We refinance our mortgage and got our rate lowered about 1.5 point so it decrease the mortgage a good bit.

Some good. Some bad. That's life.

None of this has been as bad as a cancer diagnosis but on a side note one of my fathers greatest mentors died last Saturday. Found out this afternoon it was a suicide. Kind of somber afternoon. I knew him really well. He had outlived my grandfather and all of his other friends. We don’t know if it was from a medical diagnosis or if he was depressed from loneliness. His wife died many years ago.
It’s been like a 7-8ish and if they shite down college campuses and kill college football it’ll be a 12 out of 10

Thanks everyone for sharing your stories. We all have struggles behind our posts and in our lives - it’s what makes coming on here even more enjoyable - gives us the chance to have fun and not worry about the baggage we each carry with us everyday.

We got this. War damn eagle!
