I think Bama is going to have a harder time finding the level coach they feel they are entitled to. Nobody wants to follow Saban, and their NIL is a mess.

Saying I'm the Alabama football coach doesn't have the same cache it did last time they hired a coach

Beaman, Mbakwe, Poe, Odom. Poe intrigues me because I don't think he has any natural tie to Bama, and Freeze wanted him.

Did he? I know I saw a tweet of his after he signed saying that he really enjoyed being recruited by Auburn, or something to that effect

Bro none of this is that important. They can shite talk Auburn all they like but the (Dynasty) is over. Bama will become 90s Bama again. A good, sometimes championship winning program but nothing like what we've been tortured with the past 17 seasons.

I’m more interested in their players that have been there a year or 2 and can contribute immediately.

Regarding NIL- Why is that? How do you know- genuinely curious- not being snarky.

Saban been making the rounds for 2 years begging for NIL money. It wasn’t available for him like he expected.

Wonder if he couldn't get NIL money because the traditional power people gave up control to Saban were giving him a frick you?

Those power people and Bama fans don’t feel like they have to play the NIL game to stay relevant. They rested on the laurels of “tradition” and Saban. Well Saban is gone now - I think they’ll be in for a shock how much this is gonna level the playing field against them. UGA is sort of in the same boat

I think entitlement happened. It’s just supposed to be the way it is. Maybe the fans pour into NIL now but they weren’t before. I’m sure there is plenty of money around the program but the fanbase isn’t desperate. So we will see how it goes

Players will want more than being able to say they play at Bama now.

Most of their fanbase has Bama gear because they went to WalMart

Dude just stop with your shite already.

This is looking like a serious health issue with his wife.

Also the players now can enter the portal and transfer wherever they want so this really isn’t the big maneuver you are making it out to be. And like has been pointed out to you, most do this same thing.
I mean there is no doubt he held off on the announcement until classes started.

He could have announced after they lost in the playoffs and kids could have scrambled to enroll at other schools. Now, it would be much harder to do.

Nah. He's near god status in their fanbase.

Any update on Ashford? Is he going to Utah?

Coming back to another position? 247 has him 100% us? When does he have to decide by?

I doubt very highly that Ashford is coming back since we already filled with role with the guy from Cal.

He has the size speed and skill to play receiver but he may have missed his shot at that here. With the possibility of Ryan Williams' commitment looming, that would be the greatest incoming class of receivers in history.
