every player on their roster can transfer.......even the ones who just signed. They will have some bolt over the next month.

I understand but every school tries to do the same thing. Come on bro, you’re not new to this kind of stuff.

I don't see why waiting until today helped bama in any way........if he already knew. He doesn't like the way the game is changing. He had an advantage. That advantage is gone.

Sorry but Weagle shared some thoughts and I have. You just are deciding your take is the correct one. Truth will come out eventually if what really happened. I will stick with my reasoning though.

I will also accept if my reasoning is wrong.

Saban waited until commits were enrolled actually a pretty shitty thing to do to the incoming kids.

He’s been begging 2 years for NIL. It’s not there. He got out before every thing fell apart

But honestly corch all schools try to wait to make moves till after kids are signed and enrolled. I’m not going to hold that one against him. It happens all the time if a school and program can help it.

the scroll on the bottom of SECN claimed he was interviewing possible assistants a few hours before he informed the team. This was not some planned elaborate scheme. In this day and age, there is no way in hell it would have stayed quiet.

Keep up the charade long as possible. I think him and the AD knew only

Dude just stop with your shite already.

This is looking like a serious health issue with his wife.

Also the players now can enter the portal and transfer wherever they want so this really isn’t the big maneuver you are making it out to be. And like has been pointed out to you, most do this same thing.

I wouldn’t be shocked at all to see him more interested in something like the Seahawks or even Oregon if Lanning is hired away.

His son is a QB and Oregon is one of his top schools. Lane has taken him up there multiple times.

They will be. The new signees can be released from their signature since the head coach left.

I mean, we literally just did it with our coordinators. This is very common.

Exactly, it’s common practice and not something I would use in bashing a school or coaching staff.

I almost guarantee there’s some advantage of getting kids to stick at your school after they attend a class. Timing is too convenient.

To believe he’s interviewing WRs coaches today, then retiring around 4/5 o’clock. Would require something drastic. He held team meetings, prepared statements, etc. (not really stuff you do if your wife was suddenly diagnosed with something devastating) Outside of Terry or Saban going to the hospital today, nothing would spark a sudden decision like that.

The rumor with Terry is dementia so that’s definitely not a sudden thing.

*if* that is the case, it could be RPD which can progress very rapidly. So not out of the realm of possibility as to that being the issue.

Either way, hope everything is fine there.

Now, who are we going to raid besides Williams?

Qua Russaw and James Smith are the two most obvious.

You got all kinds of butt hurt in you for me. Obviously someone’s troll account. I have no clue if he or his wife are sick and no one has mentioned it if they are.

I think it’s shitty thing to do regardless of who does it. Saban or Freeze it would be shitty. So who’s troll account are you cause I don’t know you from Adam’s house cat

I don't think it is that bad now, as it was a few years ago. Before kids were locked in to there commitment now kids can transfer with out a second thought.

Rocky Mtn is correct.

No matter the timing its going to have a vast impact on the program, so you minimize it as much as possible, which is after the first day of classes.

Can the kids transfer, sure. Is it a better scenario than him announcing two months ago, absolutely.

And yes it was probably just the AD and one or two others who knew, and yes they could keep it quiet, you think they want to ruin the program and themselves.

And for those of you who think its "sudden", how many of you would buy a 14 million dollar home in south Florida.....and let it sit vacant for the next couple of years???

Now Im with Smuphy, go get me Smith and Russaw....and bring an OT with ya
