Jox has this new radio show from 10-2 called Mid Day Mass. (I hate it). Anyway they interviewed Nick Marshall's JUCO coach over the phone the other day. Coach Matt Miller was the OC when Marshall was there and he also coached QB Michael Bishop at Kansas State in the 90s. Bishop came in second to Ricky Williams for the Heisman.
Miller said that Marshall was a great individual both on and off the field and said "Auburn is very lucky. They'll have their next heisman in Marshall, no doubt."
Gave me a glimmer of hope.......

I will settle for D Craig capabilities, but will not cry if he should Heisman pose in New York one day.

I can cap to that

I'll settle for Brandon Cox or Daniel Cobb. The defense is what I'm most concerned with.....

I will take a Chris Todd when he was healthy performance, but I would cry for joy at just the thought of a potential Heisman run

Forgot to mention this. Marshall's coach said that when Marshall transferred to Garden City, Mark Richt said that it bothered him more than losing any other player. Richt said that Marshall was the only player he ever coached that could start at 5 different positions in the NFL one day.

I would settle for above average quarterback play out of him for two years as a bridge to get another young guy in.

I am shocked that the former coach of a player is hyping that player up.

Hyping him for the Heisman is asinine at this point.

After last season, I wouldn't even be upset with Barret Trotter in Chickfila Bowl

He will need to do some work there. We will see

do you know anything specific, or going off his prior screw-up at UGA?

That should come in handy when Kiehl wins the starting QB job this fall.

Marshall snaps to Marshall, fakes the jetsweep to Marshall, hits Marshall down the seem, and scores with a great block by Marshall at the goal line.

It was a pretty big screw up. I just hope he is done with that...

I agree... I was just curious if there was more recent stuff at JUCO that was giving people concern.

I hope he is at least half as good as our last JUCO QB transfer that got in some trouble at his first school.

You have to understand the circumstances...
Yeah he was at UGa but he wasn't playing what he wanted to play. Leads to guys doing stupid things, kinda acting out in rebellion.
I don't know if that was the case with Nick, but those things happen all the time...especially in 18-19 yr olds.

Though I follow your train of thought, it takes a real POS to steal from his teammates...
Just saying
