Hey, he'd get a shot at starting as a rookie with the Falcons! We got demolished on defense this year.

They have until January 14th to decide.

Jamel Dean definitely needs another year. I guess he doesnt want to risk another injury, so that's understandable, but I don't see him getting drafted.

Dude is easily getting drafted. Likely on the second day.

He will get drafted for sure, just could really benefit from another year. Could bumb him to second or third round.

With his injury issues, I don't blame him. Yes he could benefit from coming back, but I understand his decision.

Man I thought 95 was going to have a huge year after the way he finished last season and how he started against Washington.

There are a lot of receivers out there. Seems like he may get picked up but not sure about the draft.

Slayton is a graduate & AU's breaking in a new QB next year. Thought he might stick around but not completely surprised he left early

Gotta find a new deep threat next year, hopefully someone that can catch the dang ball most of the time....

Good for Slayton, although I don't see him getting drafted. I'd have left too though.

His draft stock wouldn't get any better after next season anyways so I guess it makes sense to declare now.

He had a killer Music City Bowl but most of the year is seemed like Slayton was over or under-thrown and dropped a lot of passes. Most of the time killing a drive. I feel we'll be better off with Williams/Schwartz etc.

A new and probably worse QB, and probably a more run heavy offense with an improved OL. More competition at receiver, etc. He's been in school for 4 years, time to go get some money.

Slayton had a good season, solid measurables and a few years of game film. Another won’t prove anything more for him. I don’t blame him for not wanting to break in a new quarterback and the uncertainty of what the offense will look like. Seth Williams sure seems to be a better receiver and we have some new guys coming in. I think we should stay as good at the receiver spot.

I won't be concerned as long as we get Pickens - if we lose Pickens I will be a bit concerned about our WRs
