Same, which is my main reason for wanting him gone.

Gus is not a good big game coach. I keep hoping he can turn it around.

Hooks doesn’t see us having any kind of season. I basically agree with him. He brought up the NBA and MLS basically having to live in a bubble in order to compete which is something the universities cannot afford.

There will be no football. As an addict, I may try to find something to hold my time. I hate fishing and general outdoor activities. (no offense to Lanier)

My son's "spring flag football" played an entire season of touch in a double-elimiation tourney in one day. Son had 3 catches and an int! Still not soccer.

Right now ....all that is postponed is the other fall sports.

The State of Alabama announced that all Universities will be open and all classes open. Students will be tested when arriving on campus. Extend it to include Professors and staff as well.

If the Student Body is tested and wearing masks ....Put them in the stands.

My daughter will be a freshman at UGA this year. (Going for free and Auburn will cost big bucks since we live in Georgia. )

Colleges need students on campus so they can charge room and board.

UGA borrowed money to build and renovate dorms and need people paying to stay in them because they can't afford to pay the loans without collecting money from students.

Well the value of the average college degree normalized to what you spend for it has been trending down for a while, and there are plenty of degree programs out there primarily not in STEM in which the cost/benefit analysis never made sense in the first place.

Now, most of the extracurriculars involved with having fun at college are not happening and many of the classes will be online. You can go to YouTube and find class lectures, and probably from better professors many times.

The administrative costs of running a college are going to need to shrink dramatically because they are overcharging for what they are selling right now big time.

I've been saying this for a while now. Not sure when it's going to come down.

I have a kid at Auburn now. He'll probably end up in accounting or finance. Both are areas that require degrees and as long as you co-op or intern, you should graduate with a great job lined up.

The US already incentivizes visas for heathcare workers from abroad. I believe like 1 in 4 doctors aren't from the US and that gap will close as more of the US becomes further diversified.

So I'm wondering about player development lately.

If no season I'm guessing (out loud) maybe some things like the passing game might benefit with a year of increased practice. While others might really take a hit. And also the injured could possibly see some real benefits to their long term career, both on and off the field. And that a new OC might be lucky to have this large a window. Both in planning and recruiting?

What's some other obvious hit's and pluses?

eta: conditioning?

I don't think there are many pluses by not playing. Other than extra time to learn an offense or defense.

Agree. I don’t think there will be a single game and I think that will be bad for everyone.

Nothing good can come out if it other than the risk of a possible lawsuit.

And that is where we are in American in 2020

Unfortunately, our society would take advantage of that situation. There
will be lawsuits out the arse if someone got sick or worse.

Its just too much risk, no matter the reward. You can thank American for that. People always looking for the easy way out.

I honestly think the economical ramifications of this are going to be big. I mean very big where a lot of small business an some big ones will not survive. People will not survive because they are living beyond their means and have nothing saved for a rainy day. Uncle Sam can not carry us but so long. Then it is on each of us to take care of ourselves.

There are just too many situations with having that many players involved that will allow us to have a season. The support people needed plus coaches/parents/medical.

Its just not going to happen
