this season is on Bruce. What a great coach. To take this team this far is amazing. Beat Houston. And go Maryland. War damn.

It’s crazy that we made the tournament but still consider this season a down year. Expectations are set at higher standards. It’s been fun and I’m glad we have Bruce.

I mean I don't think you can close the book on the season until it's over. If we beat Houston, as frustrating as it has been at times, it would be hard to categorize it as a down year imo.

I remember people posting about not wanting to come to the tournament this year.

Specifically one that likes to talk about how right he is all the time

I have grown to really LOVE this years team. They can play exceptional defense at times but miss a "superstar" so much that the lack of O usually trumps that great D.
We are a "iron sharpens iron" team. It felt like 90% of SEC games were down to the wire with a chance to win late that unfortunately came down to WGJ who if were being honest is usually the guy who hits the shot/makes the play that keeps us in games.
I guess what im saying is that if we can finally play a COMPLETE team game we beat Houston. No matter what its been a great year and Bruce is the best.

Regular season maybe disappointing but this isn't a down year. We made the tourney and won first game

I think this team has definitely proven they can play with anybody, as long as it's not in Rupp Arena. Take advantage of Birmingham, play a perfect game, have the other team play a terrible game, get a good break in the draw etc.. and who knows where it all ends?

Who saw 2019 coming after we got lucky af to beat New Mex St. in the 1st round?

To be fair that team was also scorching hot in the SECT. I agree our best can compete with anyone. The question is do we see it. Houston has the kind of guards that give us trouble, but frick it we going back to the F4

It's a down year for almost everybody. Look at the efficiencies across the board.

So far N Kent has the kind of guards that give Houston trouble apparently.

Winning the "Sex" tournament is really what stung us against New Mexico. Short rest then having to play a 30 win team out west.

Once we got our feet underneath us we were rolling. Observe the absolute obliteration of KU and UNC.

EDIT: NM State

Kelvin Sampson just said Sasser has the bad groin and Sheard has a bad knee. And he's saying it's a road game...

Getting those excuses ready for the upset.

Shead also being hurt is a big deal. They don’t have a ton of ball handlers outside of those. I imagine they will try to head the paint a lot.

I wouldn't go THAT far, but I do appreciate the way they represent Auburn and the effort they give.

Assuming he meant “home” game and probably due to the number of Bama fans that will be there.

But for anyone down on Bruce, I was at a work retreat last night and pretty much everyone’s a UGA fan, and they’d kill someone to just be in the tourney. Our program was on their level not that many years ago. Some of you guys either have amnesia or are only like 15 years old. Enjoy every minute under Bruce

Before Bruce, rare NCAA appearances. 8 appearances.
Sonny Smith: 1984-1988
Cliff Ellis: 1999,2000, 2003

Bruce Pearl: 2018,2019,2022,2023.

2021 would have made it 5.

This is Auburn basketball’s zenith.
