I was a bit suspect on his speed, but he broke a few tonight and I was surprised at his burst. I don't see another back I would take over him. Cook and LF are close, but lack his power.

I was thinking that before tonight, but not sure now. Kam has better back end speed than Mason did, but the same vision.

LF7 is the best, but Pettway is up there for sure. I would have to put him above Chubb right now too.

I'd take pre injury Chubb over Pett but not this year. He isn't the same back

He's incredible but the two you mentioned are better. I can't even imagine the numbers LF7 would put up in our offense.

On that note, why have we not been able to recruit any elite RBs lately? Roc was highly rated but never panned out obviously.

I sure wouldn't trade him.

Dalvin Cook will be in NYC.

I like Pettway, but Fournette and Cook will be drafted early.

We all love some Kam, but...

There are some really, really good backs playing this year.

I live in Japan so I catch the west coast games around Sunday lunch time here. This dude is the real deal at 180 lbs (listed). Today he moved to #5 all time past Cedric Benson on the NCAA yards rushing list. Dude is super legit - everything you would want in a back. Vision, jukes, strength, speed, power, moves, legs. If you haven't seen him run, check it out. Love Kam though!

Pettway is the real deal. Gets tough yards despite the box being stacked and the defenses not worrying at all about the passing game.

No. He has similar vision and more power than Mason but Mason was faster.

I think it is more about fit. He fits our offense better than KJ. Said that all year. He has impressed me with his long runs though. But I would take LF7 over him. LF7 is the best back in football and its not even close

I would take Pettway over Cook for our offense. No doubt

Best at Auburn Nation

Loved his post game blurb to Tracy Wolfson where he responded, he's that type of back looking to hit someone first and not be the guy being hit. Not sure if hit was the word, but in essence he wanted to bring it them and not let them bring it to him.

A bit off topic but can anyone here make a gif of Pettway trucking that defender on 4th to close the game out? Dude brought the boom.

I think Cook is #1 this year with his vision, speed, and versatility. KP is only going to get better and will be one of the elite backs we talk about for years.

How is Pettway a better fit than KJ or Dalvin Cook? I don't get where you get that from. KJ looked great and was putting up good numbers before he got hurt and Cook would put up gaudy numbers in our O too. Don't get me wrong I love Pett, he's amazing and I wouldn't trade him for any sans Fournette, I just don't get this fit thing as it seems any type of back can be successful in this O.

Because he can seriously run the ball in between the tackles. His vision is good and he has the size to run against big defensive fronts. Has been proven.

KJ is good but I just think Pettway fits what we are doing better right now.
