BTW...what is the thought process behind having one long thread that covers recruiting, basketball and baseball.

The threads show last post time and date to the right. They also move to the top with new posts. Also, sometimes the pinned threads change names with news.
Why would you want to combine all that? It would be a mess.

Not much to discuss right now. Things get going around here in a couple weeks.
Unlike On3 or 247, this is still a pretty small community so it doesn’t take much reading to catch up in the pinned threads.
That said, if you are dying to post a new thread every time something mundane happens, go for it.

There's a "new" button that pops on those threads, just hit the last few pages to see where you left off. This message board runs on 1990s tech.

It’s harder to catch back up on everything if it’s all in separate threads. It’s also just as easy to keep up with new shite with it being in one thread. What’s the thought process for separating everything out?

A new pinned thread is started every season for recruiting, basketball, and baseball. During the season there are several threads started for each sport. Game weekends have pages of new threads.

Throttling traffic with some arcane poster approval is also a good way to slow down traffic. This board sees a new thread maybe every other day.

Always nice when brand new people tell us how we should run a board that’s been chugging along for over a decade now
