Lol. Keep supporting the CCP because you make money off of the market. Great points.
I said it was speculation on my part but the timing and behavior is very interesting. Bet if it was a business in the US we would have enough evidence to criminal charge.
Anyway we can get back to talking about the impact of covid on the football season. Above I provided a link to the cdc data of deaths and it breaks it down to by age, sex, race anyway you want to sort it. You can also download it and put it in the a spreadsheet like I did and calculate each age group mortality rate.

There's way too much to unpack here on this message board, but I'll just say that based on this comment you're not able to have a rational conversation around this.

I know we have disagree about things, but I am happy to hear you've been fortunate.
Wish you luck that it continues. I imagine the uncertainty alone is a huge tax

You couldn’t see I was being facetious in my response?

My son is playing FB and the equipment fitting is Sun. Derail the thread I know, but can't wait! Guess I will have 9 yr old ball. (Oh the horror!)
Nobody has really mentioned that the Sun Belt is waiting on the SEC. Heard on local radio that S. AL is in full pads already. Full pads does not mean a season, but they are flying under the radar I guess.

Glad to hear the young one gets to play. My daughter’s senior year of volleyball is in jeopardy. It’s already delayed til Oct.

senior year
I have 2 sons that are Seniors this year as well. At this point I just hope they get the opportunity to enjoy being a senior in high school and all that goes into that. Last years was a cluster.
I hope the best for you daughter because these are some important times in some athletes lives. Some don't have the opportunity to play past high school. I've always preached to my players that one day for everyone that plays that the end comes for every player, that every time you put the spikes on you better play your heart out and play it like it's your last game ever because you never know when that day will come.

My youngest son graduated last year. He is autistic and actually enjoyed school. When they shut down school in March, who knew that it would be his last days of school. It was kind of a bitter end for a kid that actually liked his teachers and enjoyed going to school. He never got to go back and even say goodbye to kids that had been in class with him for many years as well as some of the teachers that taught him for years.
They had a simple drive through ceremony but no one was there except a few teachers and a long line of cars.
Kinda sucked for him

Same, but we've already started playing. We've had 4 or 5 matches and headed to another tourney today. I just tell her every game could be the last, play hard and enjoy.

Reminds me of when Samir Doughty was robbed from taking his team to the Championship game.
Again
Again

Wow, that is cool your daughter is playing. I have enjoyed going to tourneys and stuff over the last few years. It’s a big void. Good luck to your daughter and team. Have fun, I am jealous. Haha

Got 3 matches today, fun to watch sports again. The stands were appropriately spaced for spectators, the teams are separated, no switching sides, no handshakes.
But you know how the team has to hug, high five, touch, between ever single point? That's still kinda happening.

How did you all do? I hope we get to watch ours play this year.

Awesome that they are playing. It’s probably great for them to get to do something normal.

For whatever reason, we can't show up in the first set. We give it away every match, but we fought back and won 2 matches in 3 sets.

Is your daughters team called “The Tigers”?
