My sentiments exactly. If he doesn't want to be here because of the "pressure" and micro managing then he needs to just GTFO. Call me crazy but I think Gus is here due to pressure on Chiz to hire him in the first place. I know we will be just fine whether Gus leaves or stays. Auburn has made some really average coaches look good. We are in one of the most fertile recruiting grounds in the nation and SHOULD be exactly what Clemson is with the right guy, even with Bama dominating with the GOAT coach the last decade.

Jay Jacobs is still technically our AD. If Arkansas pressure were to come next week, who would negotiate to keep Gus? I would assume that JJ would be involved considering they just officially started the search process for his replacement. Unless Leath, other AD staff, and boosters handle it.

It's been reported JJ is a name only now. The negotiation would be run by Leath and he would likely use subordinates in the AD.
