Don't know if anyone is interested in knowing, but the Auburn live guys mentioned that we've only had 2..
yes freaking 2 three and outs so far this year...... By comparison the average per (game) is about 3.5 to 4 for most teams. I'm not suggesting that he should or shouldn't have brought his USF players, just that we need to judge more after the next 2-3 weeks. Do what you like though

2 three and outs against Baylor and a 1 play interception. Only 2 punts total last game. Both first game drives have resulted in punts so far. Would love to start out with some points.

I am more optimistic than you, but I honestly think Florida is the first game where we will really get an idea where we stack up with the bottom half of the SEC.
I was always told the most improvement was from game 1 to 2. Having listened to both on the radio, it is hard to say much from what I heard other than we beat the Eagles by about what we should have.
But Florida is the real test. Can we stop that beast they have at RB?
Can our Oline protect in pass and can Brown speed up his decisions?
We shall see.

I think this mantra is a bit outdated tbh. While there should be a sizeable leap there, that was also the rule when you have teams that have been together for multiple years. In this era or completely new rosters almost every season, I really think that leap happens a little later in the season, or maybe is a little more gradual.
Yea, you will get a boost from 1 to 2 just seeing some communication issues and things like that, but getting rotations and stuff set in today's era, may take more than two games.

Good point. Either way, I think Florida will be where we see the potential or lack thereof this season.

For sure. I guess point I was more getting at was that there is still probably good room for improvement from week 2-3 as well and I think it could be just as much as week 1 to 2, because of those reasons. That's the same for any team though, not just us.
