2027 is honestly one of the toughest schedules I can remember ANY team having. It's the stuff I used to schedule for myself when I played the NCAA football game back in the day.
I don't think Golesh will be ready and I don't think any coach outside of the current top programs would be either.

2. @Bama
3. LSU
4. @UT
5. @OM
6. UF
7. @MSU
8. Baylor in ATL
9. Vandy
10. Arky
2027 10 toughest games
1. @Notre Dame
2. Georgia
3. Alabama
4. @Texas without Arch
5. A&M
6. @Missouri
7. South Carolina
8. @Kentucky
9. Oklahoma

I'd give the edge to 2027 being harder but not by a ton. I think you are just thinking replacing Baylor with @Notre Dame is a massive swing and it is but I think the 2026 conference slate is harder by a smidge.
Also obviously some personal guesstimating in here, like for instance I think Venables sucks and will be fired within the next 13 months

Middle to lower - tiers of other leagues are not even close to the SEC.
The problem isn't necessarily 5 or 6 real to tough games, but the other 3 or 4 SEC games are not cake walks.
1983 AU had Texas, FSU, Tennessee, UF, UGA, and UA. But the other five were pretty easy with USM, UK, Tech, Miss St. and Maryland.

Agree, if this was peak Auburn that was trading wins with Alabama, LSU, and Georgia I wouldn't be so concerned. Our only gimme conference game is Arkansas this year, and they could beat us if we have a big turnover game.
