Goodness gracious. Give it up. Gatewood is no longer at AU. Regardless of why he left he’s gone. I wish him well but he will be a wildcat and not a Tiger. He quit on his team when he didn’t get what he wanted. When the team needed him to be the backup QB. End of the season is fine to transfer. But damn drop the Gatewood is better then Bo. Bo was the freshman of the year regardless if you agree or not he was Gatewood is getting his first start today because of an injury.

Gatewood is not very good.

I remember Gus' condition on Gatewood's transfer to Kentucky was that he would not play against Auburn. Why was Gus scared of such a sucky QB? Gus is a Machiavellian mastermind! He convinced Stoops that Gatewood was great, so that he would take him off his hands, and sold it by requiring that he wouldn't use him against us! I'm beginning to think the backward spike was planned, and used as another psychological dagger for future opponents. That, and the secret weapons we have on the bench at QB! Cord Sandberg and Grant Loy are going to be unleashed when our opponents least expect it!

I’m pretty sure they came out and said that was not true at all and that Gatewood’s waiver just wasn’t approved in time.

Gatewood has never shown anything that should lead anyone to believe he is a good QB.
He might be a serviceable back up or short yardage QB...just like he was for half a season here...
