Can we talk about leaving the offense on the field at the end?

That was fricking brilliant. Everyone in the stadium is expecting a kick and Alabama reflexively trots the kick return team out. We change nothing and they’re confused as frick with no time outs to fall back on. It was masterful. Kudos to whoever planned that. Absolutely devilish.

Gus outcoached Saban again. He earned another year tonight

He put the punter at WR too. Royally fricked with their minds. Hats off to Gus today.

Gus in his post game said they were just trying to keep Waddle off the field. Saban in his post game said they were trying to get Waddle off the field but couldn’t get him off in time.

Was a great call even if it ended in Nix punting.

Pretty ironic after everything Waddle did to us that he ultimately lost them the game.

On the Auburn Radio postgame interview, Gus credited Larry Porter for the decision.

I find it very rich that Saban complained that they didn’t have enough time to substitute after we had at least 2 substitution penalties ourselves.

Saban got rattled when he saw Bo stay in formation at QB and panicked is all that happened there

Saban is melting harder over being flat outcoached on that play than I have heard in a long time

That was vintage Gus...great decision and kudos for Porter for putting it in his ear. I love that Saban whined about it.

Gus subbed Sippos the punter for one of our WR to try to keep Waddle off the field and make Bama think we were going for it.

The coaches in bamas booth saw Sippos go onto the field and sent the punt return team out. When they saw we were lined up as if we were gonna go for it, they tried to put the defense back onto the field.

Bo saw that Bama had 12 and snapped the ball.

This is what he said. I thought he was going to try to draw them offsides but he didnt want Waddle on they field

Did not snap it just had to be set for one second. Strange rule.

See even our AU fans are confused as to what happened. lol.

First, Gus(according to Gus) was only trying to keep Waddle off the field, so what he hoped is that once Alabama saw Bo under center, even though the punter had gone out as a WR, Alabama would send out the defense, and we would bring Siposs back in and punt it to a area where Waddle had left.

The ball was never snapped. Once we were set, then the official allowed the play ready, and since Alabama had 12 guys on the field, the back judge threw the flag.

Saban can claim unfair all he wants(that's the dumbest comment to come from a veteran, top college coach), but he knew they had communication problems that caused Waddel to stay out there.
He was chewing and yelling at some of the coaches on the sideline. Probably the special teams coaches. :)

I'd call it embarassing. Saban should know better. At least lose with some dignity.

I'd give almost anything to hear a recording of the headset chatter on the Bama side during the last minute of the game

This was a brilliant formation.

Siposs at WR and Bo under center. Auburn was trying to keep Waddle off the field. IF he ever got off field, I guarantee Auburn would have shifted Siposs to punt it deep.

Pure brilliance by Larry Porter and Gus
