Would be stunned if he ended up here. Why would he transfer here to play with our horrific offensive line and WRs? That’s the two weakest position groups not only on our team but arguably in all of the SEC.

I have to believe that our ballers at AU will get this one done and bring this hired gun to the plains. We need a win. Regardless of how he ends up doing, we need this win for the program and our reputation out there. We need this win. Go buy you a piece of fine pressure treated pine today to help the cause.

No elite QB is going to come to Auburn when our 3 year starter who grew up a lifelong Auburn fan transferred out because of our offensive line and WR’s being as bad as they are.
And that’s not Harsin’s fault. Gus left us with nothing at either of those positions.

I know you run the nil site. Can we request funds specifically for Caleb Williams?

Haha I don’t run the site but I like promoting it so we’ll land better recruits. Any amount of money donated helps towards future recruits. The more people donate the more they’re able to sell how much they can potentially make.
So, yes, it would help with Williams.

The 6 payments of $180,000 was an internal joke. Albert Means (Alabama) was paid that amount and the Bama rumor on Cam was $180,000. (If we paid that we got a deal).
I have not heard anything about Caleb, when it comes to recruiting it is always anybody's guess. If we hear he is visiting, then we may have something. This will be the most publicized sell to the highest bidder and fundamentally changes College Sports.

Sure thing, Rick. Your secret is safe with me. Just tweak it to trigger if a specific recruit comments, he can get the funds. I am not donating to a Bo/TJ type QB or horse riding.

At some point, they really just need to get to the point where CFB/players collectively bargain a salary cap like the NFL
That would be better than where this NIL garbage is heading

And here lies one of the issues that will cause the NIL to fail eventually. There are so many more. Its going to be interesting watching this stupid system fail and ordinary people bitch and complain how "their" donations are used.

You have been donating to the university who mishandled your funds by allowing Gus to nosedive our program. I like having options on how MY money is spent. I will gladly give up my season tickets and give that money to a CW. I am getting tired of driving to AU and getting my arse kicked.

The thing is, the NIL "salaries" aren't coming from the colleges. NIL is like an NFL player getting a deal with Subway or Burger King. The whole thing might have been headed off if the the NCAA had allowed a fixed maximum payment from schools but that wouldn't really work because of Title IX. If you give it to football/basketball you probably have to give it to women's sports also.

What are you talking about. Other than the last two years, one Gus and one Harsin, Auburn has been performing at a Auburn level. Same level that it has performed at in the past 100 years. Its not like its all the sudden worse until the last two years.
Im just pointing out that some of the issues that will happen with this NIL deal are right there in your statement. Im just not sure you are bright enough to see it yet. But you will.
I hate to break it to you bud and some of the others here, you are not going to be able to buy yourself a Championship. Not now that everything is on a level playing field. That ship has sailed. It is not a sandbox the majority of us are equipped to play in

Ahh. Okay. JSU, UT, breaking a 100 year winning streak vs USCe. Going winless in Athens, BR and Tuscaloosa. Yeah, that is historically AU football.
