Why Grimes over O’Brien, Lanning or Dykes? Are we concerned with a coaches buyout?

I haven't broken down the details of why you are accepting and rejecting coaches, but what criteria are you using?
Here my criteria, in order: Accepted by people who are paying the freight, who can recruit, and who can coach.
Grimes seems like a great choice.

BOB cause of experience and proven track record. He might have sucked at it but being a GM + NFL HC is something, not to mention helping PSU come back from death.
He’s not my preferred at all, but would seem to be a better choice over Grimes.

Curt Cignetti - he’s won everywhere he’s been head Coach, has James Madison ranked, and was Alabama’s recruiting coordinator for the 2008 class, which is probably the best of all time.

I’ve convinced myself that Auburn needs to hire one of Hugh Freeze or Deion Sanders.
I don’t think Lane Kiffin is realistic and Jeff Grimes just wouldn’t do.

Send Harsin packing right now, and make Cadillac the interim coach. Don't make any of Harsin's potato boys the interim coach, because they're all eventually gonna be out the door too. I'm not optimistic enough for a big splash hire at HC, so no harm no foul in seeing if Caddy has any potential in these remaining games....and after what we've witnessed up to this point, things couldn't possibly get worse than they already are, so why the hell not...
