I know we have the Florida win among others but it seems losing by 30,29, and 28 to the best teams in the nation carries weight lol.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Cant be the coach amirite Ben with a little ben?
Fighting for the tournament at home against an inferior team and the only excuse is roster?
Who is supposed to be the coach and leader and motivator?

If SEC talent players need motivation from their coach to fight to stay locked into March Madness then they aren’t what we thought they were.
How our Senior guy, seems like a good guy lay 20 minutes for film session? Steven suppose to pick them up each morning in the team van?

Lil Stevie should try something. I know Pearl respects the plus and minus and there are a helluva lotta minuses from his guys these games.

If we make it to the tourney we will be one and done. I don't see these guys coming back.

Seems that SP has lost this team.
Biggest problem I believe is the lack of a rim protector and Broome like inside threat. Everything else is trying to cover what's missing with the other players and it doesn't really work.
Still the team seems to be regressing by not beating a 10 in a row loss team at home.

Steven seems fine to me as an X's and O's guy, but he is 0 for 1 on getting a team to gel and improve and fight to the end of the season. This bunch (Other than maybe Jovic and SWA) has totally quit on him. Here's to hoping it's just a bad group and he finds a roster that responds better to him next year but so far the data shows he's a guy that can't rally a group of guys to play tough, winning basketball for him.

Apparently Trilly Donovan is kicking up rumors that Sway will be portaling.

I don't have much hope in it happening but to me it's never too soon to end a mistake. Having Steven Pearl as our hc is a mistake. I can't imagine Cohen is too happy with being forced into the decision he made so fingers crossed he ends this failed experiment not long after we get bounced from the SEC tourney
Not surprised teams are after SWA. He was the one I was worried could be tempted away after the coaching change. Houston would be a perfect fit for someone like him

He's not good anyway, at least not on this team. Only thing he does decent is get to the line but he can't make a FT so big deal. There isn't a player on this roster that is not easily replaceable.

Yeah SWA would perfect for Houston… he cant fricking score and UH can’t either.

quote:Sure but do you want to replace every player? I think there is value in keeping some guys, SWA being one of them. He's a true freshman, you don't think he can improve? How long did it take for Dylan Cardwell or Jaylin Williams to be impactful? Players retained don't have to be a starter for next year, but you have to have some sort of continuity/culture; replacing everybody every year is too much. Nothing wrong with keeping SWA, Jovic or Freeman. You need a core of returning players and fill in the blanks with a freshman or two and transfers.

Depends on the coach honestly. The players on this roster have stopped playing for Steven. If he's retained the more roster turnover the better. If we bring in someone new I'd be fine with a few pieces sticking around. We're in a really bad spot either way imo.
My main point was there is no individual player on this team we should be fretting over portaling.

Players don’t just stop playing for a coach. They stop playing for themselves and each other as well. They stopped playing for the guys that gave them NIL $$. That being said this whole roster came to Auburn to play for Bruce. There is no Bruce. One should never underestimate the relationship builder Bruce was. However, Bruce always had attitude issues and problems but he also always had some core leaders in the player side. I haven’t seen a single leader on this team emerge. Not during the good or bad. Tahad was supposed to be the guy and it appears he’s very me player. Steven did not develop a player leader so it is a very fragile bunch.

Fragile indeed… smiling while earning NIL while getting arse kicked

Dion Sanders has it perfectly and hope everyone else transitions towards it.
Miss a practice, you pay up… attitude problem… pay up. Not playing up to your NIL potential, who cares
It should be a base rate and incentives on how many pts, rebounds, steals, etc
It basically is pay for play now guys
