What’s every bodies realistic expectation? I’m pretty excited even though I’ve been an Auburn fan long enough to know better. My bold prediction is we’re much improved this year and win 9 regular season games. I’d love to be wrong and win them all lol. WDE boys!!

My bold prediction would be 9 wins if just about everything goes our way.

6-6 is much much more likely. There are fellow SEC programs that are as dysfunctional as us, but only a few (Arkansas/MSST) are below us in overall talent. Starting with the Florida game and all the way through the Ole Miss game there are zero games that I feel Auburn has better than a coin-flip chance to win.

Under Freeze, the team followed the coach and absolutely didn't know how to win unless the opposing team physically handed the win straight to them. Hopefully under Golesh the vibe is different, only time will tell.

7 - 5.
Losses to UGA, UT, LSU, OM, bama. Florida could be a toss-up.

See I think we’re gonna knock off one or two of these teams. We may still finish 7-5 just due to talent gap alone, but I think we are going to upset somebody. Prolly not Bama or UGA on the road. My pick in OM in VHS.

i picked us to go 7-5 in the SECRant thread, which i think is probably our ceiling this year

schedule looks formidable on paper, with the expectation that both LSU and UF will improve

I wish I could see more but I see no more than 6 or 7 wins on our schedule. I have admittedly become a pessimistic fan lately

Definite losses - UGA, UA, UT
Definite wins - Baylor, USM, Samford

UF, Vandy, LSU, Ole Miss, Ark, MSU

Man this is not looking great as far as a final record.
Winning three of the non definite games would be good.

Problem is now the structure of our schedule is random and terrible, and if things start to go south, nobody will care about Ark and MSU.

With a proven defensive staff, a proven offensive staff, and a proven QB Auburn's odds are better than we've seen in way too many seasons. Hope we have a killer O-line to make it all solid.

9 wins and maybe more.

I think we take one or two of these

I agree we should win these.

I can see us taking 4 or 5 of these with who they are starting as QB, & some other starters.

So I can see 8-9 wins this year if we stay healthy...

8-4 if we stay healthy and some of our better opponents have unexpected issues i.e. health of starters.

I will be happy if we win more games this season than last season. I am optimistic but trying to be realistic at the same time.

9 wins

Because we're going to give Florida their first real punch in the mouth. And the law of averages says we're long overdue for a couple game winning blunders (after the streak we've entertained) whether they're officiating mistakes or HC'ing blunders.

I just want to see competence and competitiveness.

Beyond that, I don’t really care about the final record. Make Auburn football fun to watch again.
