Cam’s debut versus Arkansas Stare was electric.
MSU was a game like last night.
I hope our OL gels over the next few days.

I believe if we played a Sun Belt team, we would all be saying how wonderful he is.
Moo State is more on par of Baylor. Low tier SEC, but good enough to give you fits.
Here’s to dropping my penny in the wishing well

Cam also had an o line worth a shite. It’s been awhile since we’ve been good there.

I just had the booth stream up. Didnt get to see any plays in action. Durkin is the same idiot he has been his whole career. It's baffling how bad his 3rd down scheming has always been. Jason Campbell also pointed out the MANY plays baylor had a wide open guy so there's more issues than just the play calls.
BB completed 70%, wouldve been 75% without the bad INT throws. 3 picks is terrible, but hopefully thats what drives him to improve.
The amount of negativity that gets manifested in these threads makes them even less enjoyable than a tremendous loss. We get it, everyone sucks and nobody knows what they're doing.
High tempo only works if you can get first downs and actually tire down the opposing D. Going 3 and out, leaving the D on the field 6 minutes because you can't stop them without their receivers dropping the ball, rushing back out to get another 3 and out in 90 seconds does absolutely nothing to benefit the team. It should be used once momentum starts, not to try and create it.
I'd be willing to bet that fast pace focus in practice is a contributing factor to the O lines lacking against defenses who are trained and conditioned to be more focused. When you spend all off season never having to block a guy more than 5 seconds in practice how can you be expected to block for 10-15 while a play develops in a game.
May be time to step back from the hurry up and get ready for the next play, and focus on execution for a bit.

It’s frustrating. Multiple times 3rd and long was picked up by the one he had our best pass rusher dropped back in coverage. Durka Durka never learns.

Aren’t some of the OL the same guys that played at USF last year?

Only the center I think. I think the rest are from elsewhere.

Glad we won a tight game. I was not impressed with the offense. It didn't look like we adjusted at all.

Yep. I hate it so much. It’s fine as a one off, but he does it all the time. Let your best pass rusher get after the QB. He does it so much though it’s very predictable.

Defense punishes people’s. Baylor will be sitting ice baths for a couple of days. We are violent on defense but not offense

The right guard got hurt late… Ellis played the last few snaps at RG.

What a terrible post in so many ways.

PUNT · INT · FGA · PUNT · PUNT · TD · HALF · PUNT · DOWNS · PUNT · DOWNS · FG · TD
Sign me up. Two tone-setting turnovers early, only 3 points generated.
Ridiculous. Anyone knows Lagway is capable of throwing dimes.

Going 3 and out
We only went 3 and out once… zero times after first quarter.
Offense actually moved the ball okay… far from efficient and way too many negative plays and turnovers. But it was game one.
And third down defense was solid, esp after first quarter… Baylor just made some key 4th down conversions that led directly to their two TDs.

Had a good time at the game. Found a lot close by with a shuttle back and forth. It was really hot so we got inside as soon as we could. Mercedes Benz was great, as always. Stated attendance was 55,000 which seemed about right. Not many Baylor fans.
Neither team looked very good but I'll take a goal line stand and getting away with the win any day.

Yeah, neither team looked good. Glad for the win.
LSU is going to kill us this year unless this team finds its identity and catches fire.
Durkin did a yeoman's job last year without an offense holding up its end, but I can't believe that he ran a three man rush against a hobbled QB with a killer arm. That was bad.

I’m not excusing the terrible offense. But Baylor also ran 99 plays, because Durka Durka refuses to bring pressure on 3rd and long. That keeps Auburn’s offense on the sidelines and gives fewer opportunities to score or keeps the offense pinned back instead of flipping the field.

Yes, when he’s comfortable in the pocket. Anytime the defense brought pressure, he couldn’t hit water from a boat.

In their September 5, 2026 game (Auburn 17–16 over Baylor in the Aflac Kickoff), Auburn converted 10 of 18 third downs (˜55.6%), while Baylor converted 7 of 22 (˜31.8%).
Those 4th down conversions were the killer that nearly lost the game.
