Not the culture HF is trying to install. JH has hurt his team and possibly risked his career showing poor choices and total disrespect for women. At minimum these two are now in the dog house with HF. But worst case, he could be permanently suspended ir have to miss a certain number of games. Not a leader.

Certainly doesn't give me the warm and fuzzies but I'm not really sure how this should be handled

Lets look at the actual law. (He should still be suspended for stupidity. The person posting on Twitter could be in legal trouble because they were harassing Jarquez.

LINK

The defendant is charged with distributing a private image.

A person commits the crime of distributing a private image if he/she knowingly posts, emails, texts, transmits, or otherwise distributes a private image with the intent to harass, threaten, coerce, or intimidate the person depicted when the depicted person has not consented to the transmission and the depicted person has a reasonable expectation of privacy against transmission of the private image.

To convict, the State must prove beyond a reasonable doubt each of the following elements:
(1) The defendant posted, emailed, texted, transmitted, or otherwise distributed a private image of [insert name of person depicted];
(2) The defendant did so with the intent to harass, threaten, coerce, or intimidate the person depicted;
(3) The depicted person had not consented to the transmission of the private image;
(4) The depicted person had a reasonable expectation of privacy against transmission of the private image; (AND)
(5) The defendant did so knowingly.

I really miss the 90s. If you were gonna bang two chicks and record it, it was going to require having one of those big arse VHS recorders and a tripod. Just wasn't worth it!

You would also have to select between VHS & Beta Max! Some of those recorders were over 10 pounds back then or you filmed in 8mm and had to get it developed...Your right...not worth it.. Now a days anyone with a phone will whip it out...

The real issue for him is at the girl who was being filmed level. If that girl didn't consent, then he's in deep shite for filming it and sending it to his friend group chat. Full stop.
quote:

Someone cannot say they didn’t consent to a release of a personal video, when they sent that video to another another party, unless the phone was hacked or stolen.
Sure you can. That's how revenge porn happens. Girl sends nudes or whatever to a guy - that's sending to an outside party. She doesn't want it FURTHER disseminated. They break up and guy posts to internet - now it's revenge porn, which is effectively what Hunter's ex did. Having a piece of media in your possession doesn't give you consent to disseminate it to whoever you want.
quote:

He is not a victim. In that sense.
He can be a victim of one thing and guilty of another.

To people saying this doesn't matter - that's absolutely coping...
Hunter is a key piece of the offense and who knows what other players are tied up in this crap. What a dumb dumb dumb decision. Why film shite like this?

How about the 70's. You just banged two chicks and enjoyed it. No filming necessary

Couldn't handle the Disco...oh and I was 10 in 76...so yeah...

The best thing back then 70, 80 & 90's no social media. Don't get me wrong...really love having internet but hate what social media is doing (tik - tok, instagram, etc) turning a lot of people into narcissists. All about me and less about we...I mean fat models claiming racists that airplane isles are to small and are offended having to buy two seats...

ITs not Social Medias fault, it is ours. Human beings are just not smart enough to use something that powerful. Its too much for us to handle

It's not illegal for a football player to have consensual sex afaik. The illegal part would be the person posting it on social media, or if the video was not known to be recorded by the one having sex and it being sent to people the individual did not intend for it to be released to further. The individual could be Hunter or the girl. I also noticed that this isn't really covered by major news outlets at all, as far as I"m aware, blog sites and daily news doesn't really count. Like it doesn't make it past the first google page before it goes to normal articles, if this was really bad you'd think it would be on at least the ESPN radar, but it isn't.
