We are at 8.1 blocks per game. That seems insane. We block ~15% of all shots taken? We had 11 with Kessler on the bench the whole game

I will say that a lot of guys stepped up last night but this is the first game without a talent like Jabari that we lose.

Lol I don’t think you’re a Pearl hater. I’m just differentiating game management from timeout usage style. Many coaches prefer to keep them in their pocket for late game situational stuff if needed.

It’s just his (and a lot of internet sports fans) schtick… they feel the need to be a contrarian, and let everyone know about it. That’s all.

We probably lose by 15 without Jabari yesterday. He scored 25. Tipped many threes. Couple steals.
He should be a number one pick if he stays healthy. His numbers rival Banchero’s.

I’m sorry you feel that about me. If that 14 point run cannot get brought up by the same poster that has Bruce in his profile picture and a vow of support in the sig then y’all are too tender.
I really don’t feel one way or another about you. So this is pretty awkward.

It’s the opposite… I see it for what it is… so there’s no need to catch feelings about what someone says on the internet.
If you wanna say pearl isn’t a good in-game coach and the only real ammo you have is TO usage, well… that points to a schtick.

Not necessarily. I just weigh timeouts in a game of runs as an important responsibility that has to be done well.
I don’t know why you are so butthurt about it. People here are happy to say Saban is not a great gameday coach and Saban’s done well for himself.
Read all my posts on Pearl. I’m not defending myself to some anonymous, know nothing poster on the rant that gets butthurt over the stupidest shite.

You called me a Gus defender and a Pearl hater. That’s how fricking clueless you are.
You shouldn’t ever talk. Take that awareness with you.

Pearl hardly ever runs out of timeouts.
Holding timeouts over 4 minute stretches is dangerous af.
It seems dangerous, and I do remember watching AUburn games in the past wanting Pearl to call a TO, but he wouldn't it. But I don't recall him losing a game by not doing it.
As to last night, in his PC, Pearl mentioned that his reason for not calling TO, is he didn't want to rile up the crowd even more, bc it does when you call a TO, and it gives the other team a chance to set up more plays.
If you watch Pearl, he is not a quiet sit down coach like a Barnes or other coaches who are more calculated in using their TOs.
PEarl is active, he can call a play out to his team as the other team is making a run, and I think he knows he has a pretty experienced team with Green, Jasper, Flanigan, and even a smart basketball player like Jabari.
I also think that if you noticed, Pearl saw how much of a lead he had, and even though Alabama caught up to AUburn, they exerted a ton of energy, while Auburn is deep, and fresher, ALabama hit a wall, in that under 2:00 mins, and I think was tired missing their last 4-5 shots.
last point. I think Pearl likes to save the TOs for under 2 mins, if he needs to set up an out of bounds play, if behind, setting up his defense after made baskets, etc.
I think he knows what he is doing...(I guess when he loses a game bc he doesn't call a TO, and I can throw out all this analysis.)

LSU travels to Florida tonight… it’s maybe too early to start paying attention to the SEC regular season race, but LSU dropping this one would be nice.
Auburn has a real chance to be favored in the rest of our games, except for maybe UT on the road.

Should be a low game but I’m curious to see how LSU deals with Castleton after Walker tore the up last time.
