Big game Saturday. The Neville should be rocking.

That 3 (small) guard lineup was crazy right. Great move. Our 3s weren’t really rebounding welll anyway. Man we miss Malik Dunbar.

We gotta get better in a lot of areas before SEC tourney play.

We’ve got to rebound better by Saturday’s game. So bad. The past few games

The revelation to me there was the three guard lineup. That HAS to be the closing lineup from now on.

I was thinking the same thing. Looks like Bruce finally saw enough wide open missed threes from the 3. Might have to tweak the rotation a little to get them somewhat fresh then but it’s also late in the year and aren’t asking them to keep it up for 20 games.

This team is talented, plays great defense, and struggles shooting. Everything we already know. The difference between this team and our 2018 and 2019 team is guys that can/want to step up and make a big shot. We get in dunks this year and we let spiral. Those other teams had flaws, but they had multiple guys that could make a big play and hit a big shot to get us out of a funk.

Wendell and a lot of other guys are young and will all be back next year and hopefully improve a lot. But I think that is the piece we are missing. We have yet to get blown out once this year. How much different do we look at this team if we just know how to finish close games and get a clutch basket from someone other than Jabari?

I’ll be dead and buried, 20 Auburn SEC Titles, and a Natty later... and I’ll STILL miss Malik Dunbar

SEC tournament as long as we win a couple rounds

That would mean we are in the final.

Auburn managed to win despite being dominated on the boards, 50-32.

^back in December, this rebounding issue was addressed and the guards rebounded better the next game. I can’t remember if it was St Louis or another game. I’m sure the coaches will stress the importance of winning the rebound and turnover battle.

I would like to see us control the game Saturday from tip-off to buzzer.

This team gets frenetic and disorganized at times on offense. As Coach Wooden said, “Play fast, but don’t hurry.”

Zep must continue to emerge as a 10 point scorer. We are better when he takes open looks.

3 small guard lineup was a new wrinkle.

Cambridge needs to focus on dunks and boards.

Jabari needs a 20 shot game.

Teams are sitting on middle pick and roll. Do we do much side pick and roll? Seems like we do a side pick and pop with Jabari some.

Did Kessler injure his shoulder? The sleeve was new. I hope it’s nothing serious.

LSU almost helped us last night

What a win. Anytime you win an SEC championship it’s a spectacular season.

The pick and roll hasn’t been there for weeks because they are just sagging off the corner three on the weak side to clog the paint. I trust Bruce’s seeming indication that Lior probably can’t play defense at this level but it would be hard not stick him out there during a lull for me

We have to find a rotation that keeps Allen Flanigan off the court. I hate saying it, but he’s a complete liability. He can’t shoot, he can’t dribble and he turns the ball over constantly. Hard to believe he was essentially our PG and arguably best player at the end of last season.

He will be back at Auburn again next year unless he transfers. No way he tries to go pro.

Yeah but it’s hard not keep sticking him back out there in hopes the guy from last year is somewhere in there because Cambridge is just so limited in what he can bring. Wonder if there will be discussion this week to plug Moore or Lior back in there for some minutes

I don’t understand why Lior doesn’t get to play. I thought he played well early in the season. He could hit open threes at least. Is he that bad defensively?

Moore could possibly help but he hasn’t really impressed me while running with the 2a at the end of the games.

I remember Auburn getting blown out two straight games in 2020 until a TF in Cambridge shot 6-9 from 3 and delivered us a win against USCe. Having hope isn’t working out for us. What’s sad is you could argue all 3 Williams/ Cambridge/ and Flanigan has regressed

The Flannigan situation has to be super difficult for BP and the staff. What do you say that won't destroy his confidence etc.? Then there's the family situation...

Yep. He's just not right again, yet. I really liked the small lineup last night.

I really think the league is historically good this year and we will see that come tournament time. Not saying that we don’t have areas to improve, but I think a lot of our “funk“ comes from playing really really good teams with good coaching adjustments, particularly on the road. I think State has as much talent as anybody. Of course we will not get eight teams in the tournament, but there are eight teams in the league this year that on a given weekend are capable of going to the Sweet 16 in my opinion. We won the SEC at a historically great point in history.
