Meateater podcast had an episode on this a little while ago. The expert said the lone star tick is super aggressive and will actually pursue people. It’s on a whole different level than a deer tick and doesn’t just hang around waiting for you to bump into it.

A ton here in North Florida.
re: 35 days sober(alcohol). Longest I've been sober in 35 years. The benefits are obvious...

I hit 6 months today. I had slowly gotten out of control the last 10 or so years. I was drinking about a twelve pack a day. My life was a constant battle to drink just enough to feel great but not too much to be hammered. Most days I could pull it off. Some days I’d end up hammered. My whole life was going down the drain. It’s amazing not dealing with that constant struggle anymore. Alcohol had become the most important thing in my life. I’d wake up thinking about it and go to sleep doing the same thing. That’s a horrible way to live.
Someone above asked what changes. For me, everything. My relationship with God is the best it’s ever been. My relationship with my wife and family is the best it’s ever been. I’ve lost almost 30 pounds. No empty calories and I’ve gotten a lot more active. I also eat way cleaner not being drunk daily. Life is awesome. The hardest part for me was coming to the realization that I just can’t drink. No matter how much I tried to control it, one was never enough.

Have the same CAT can. It is amazing on my CVA scout 300 blk pistol. Stupid quiet.

Good info. Hoping to talk them into the ranch version for same price I’ve been offered. Either way planning to get one soon.
Thoughts on Mule Pro FXT1000 LE

Think I’m about to pull the trigger on a new 26 model. Anybody have one? I was going to go with the 800 model but can get the 1000 for cheaper. From my research, the original issues have been sorted out since its release a few years ago. Plan to use it around my farm and hunting camp. Trail riding will mainly be dirt roads. I have no desire to cross rivers or go to atv parks, just looking for reliability and comfort for my family.

I looked into it a while back. I don’t believe it was effective on the eastern diamond backs we have here in North Florida.
re: Grill Talk: Can some of you share your recent experiences buying grills?

I got a recteq patio 800 in May. I love it. It’s a tank and super easy to use. I use it way more than I was any of my other grills.

I’ve only ever seen 1. It was highly trained by its extremely wealthy owner. It seemed to be a good over all dog. It and my Catahoula got along good. It was definitely intimidating looking. Not a dog for your average dog owner.

Seems like a good fella. I don’t think he’s really beating his chest over a “ world record”.

I was at the 3-2 AU MSU game and also at the Choke at Doak in 1994. One was way more entertaining than the other.

We went to Atlanta Breakfast Club last week with the kids. It’s right across from the aquarium. It was very good.

Yep. Not moving at all in the west lots. Game was awesome though.
Where should I park for the soccer game?

Bringing the family to Auburn tomorrow. I have no idea where to park. It’s been almost 20 years since I graduated, and probably 15 since I’ve been to town.

In line with my wife and boys. Their first game and my first time in Truist. Hopefully we get to see a sweep.
Proof Research PXT Barrel
Posted by WeagleEagle on 6/4/26 at 5:15 pm
Proof PXT
Barrel starts really slow and progressively speeds up. This creates less barrel wear and more accuracy in high pressure loads. The grooves are also cut smoother. Discrete ballistics says it will be a big deal for subsonic ammo. Subs need a fast twist but the initial push is very hard on the bullet. The gradual increase will be a game changer. Makes sense to me.
What say the OB gun nerds?
