I guess the board already has their argument for the year

Box score lists JM with 5 TOs... pretty sure most of those came early.

He played much better in the second half.

All 5 in the first Half. 2 on the first 2 possessions of the game.

McCormick was not good. Kinda started to take control in the end though, which is promising. He’ll settle down. May have a WTF loss or two early.

He played much better down the stretch when he quit the yoyo dribbling and got downhill. Hopefully it was nerves early because we will need him to reach our full potential

Sharife Cooper was sitting in the student section right beside our bench.

That's cool. He seems to really be looking forward to coming here, and we're going to welcome him with open arms. I'm not looking that far ahead yet though. I'm glad he helping with recruiting too.

Samir Doughty: 18 PER, 59.8% floor, 9 defensive stops

Devan Cambridge: +19, 150 offensive rating

Austin Wiley: 26.2% rebounding rate, 39.6% defensive rebounding rate

Auburn turned the ball over on 27.3% of its possessions.

Had to work early and couldn’t watch. How did Stretch, Turbo, and Okoro look?

Apparently we need to eliminate the turnovers.

Stretch didn’t play and Turbo played 1 minute. Okoro was awesome though. Great defense and some bully ball on some good stuff set up by Pearl getting Okoro the ball deep in the paint a couple of times. Also had a nice driving dunk in the first half.

The entire NCAA thing is awkward, but I'm hopeful the staff can still put together a monster 2020 class.

Pearl said we should seen more of Jones the next game but I have no idea why Stretch didn't play.

My thoughts on the game:

The good:

shot a high percentage, dominated the boards, turned them over and nearly had 5 guys in double figures.

The bad:

We do not have a floor general. Javon is good don't get me wrong but Harpers ability to command the offense will be missed.

Side notes:

Purifoy seems to be on a mission. I liked his aggressiveness

Okoro is a mismatch for anyone. Feed him the ball

Wiley had some good touch shots around the bucket but still has butter fingers.

Javon is best going downhill I think he needs a big game to boost his confidence.

If that’s the only bad, we’re in good shape. That just takes time to develop. Harper’s been the leader so now that he’s gone someone will fill the void.

Throwing alley oops to our 5'8 PG is just weird
