The wife (no pics) and I are driving over from Birmingham for the Baylor game. I’d like to find a MARTA stop to leave the car and ride into the game. What’s the best place to do this? And anything else we should know?

Just don’t do south side or west side IMO. Don’t leave anything visible in your car. Arts station is my favorite but it’s very limited parking. Lindbergh or Brookhaven are pretty decent.

It’s a shite show. I ride it about every couple years just to remind myself how much I fricking hate rising MARTA.

The only way it isn’t a hell ride is if you come in on the east line from Avondale or Decatur. Keep your wallet in your front pocket.

During college games it’s usually filled with fans of the team and makes it not as bad. Falcons games, I use Marta

Marta is fine on game days. I usually take the Decatur or Avondale station (no connection). Are you staying or just coming in for the game?

Y’all hating on Atlanta is comical. Great city.

I’m driving from Birmingham just for the game. Would prefer to leave the car on the west side of town and ride into the stadium.

Hamilton Holmes is probably the best from Bham. Straight shot and it will be easy in and out. War Damn.

I never tried MARTA. I took an Uber from the hotel. It worked really well. The driver told jokes the entire ride and told us about a great place to eat near to where we were staying.

Was coming here to say this. Hamilton Holmes to the Benz has not been terrible in my experience.

That is the one I have used in the past. Free parking. Get a round trip day pass.

You can just tap your phone to pay to ride now. No need for a Breeze card anymore. Super easy.

There’s a good chance you’ll have plenty other folks on there going to the game and back coming from that way.

Worked with the Project Manager that saved that POS.

Making racist comments at 2:52am in a public forum and have the audacity to claim someone else is the POS. Sad.

It’s been referred to that since it’s beginning.

Too bad you weren’t there to correct the multitude of mistakes the contractors caused. Otherwise it would be a walking, jogging trail.

But judge away hot shot. It’s still a POS.

Avoid it. I'd stay home and watch it on TV before I rode Marta. Use the app Spot Hero. I took my daughter to a World Cup game, and found a parking place on there the morning of the game for half the price on Ticketmaster

I like to park in The Georgia Aquarium parking deck. It’s reasonably priced, and not a bad or unsafe walk if done around game time.

Once on the train all should be good.

Parking at H.E Holmes, don't leave anything valuable in your vehicle and watch your six if returning after dark.

Yeah so just scout out parking around Mercedes.

You'll probably survive using the train from the west but any "hassle" of parking around the stadium is the better option.
