Yep, with Robert Woodyard rotating in.

Hugh Freeze has me so excited about football again.

I see they are updating the roster as the guys are added including the NIL folks, in real time, they must have a blue blazer and tie when they sign the nil lol...

Question, this has to be a typo, they have Wilky Denaud at 295 lbs?? 247 has him listed at 245, I know thats probably a year old but 50 lbs?

Having a top QB prospect on board would really make more players seriously consider us and fill out the class. I know we took Freeze’s Liberty recruit but him and Robbie aren't going to impress anyone in a sales pitch.

I feel like if Vandagriff were to enter the portal, we'd be the first ones knocking at his door, no?

Probably would be discussion prior to him entering if I had to guess.

Now, now thats against the rules.

Seriously, Im certain he knows exactly how we feel. Talking to his mom, who is an Auburn grad, his peers etc. is not off limits.

I mentioned in the thread earlier, you are up by half a dozen touchdowns, why not let all the qbs in the room get some snaps so they can tell their grandkids they played IN the national championship not ON the national championship team.

Plus, it looks like he will be on the bench for another couple of years behind next year's starter (since he was the backup who did get all the snaps after Bennett left the game).

If we pick up a QB after spring its really gonna make things a lot tougher to gel.

TTs Towel,

Glad you mentioned Woodyard, I think he gets a good bit of playing time going forward, not much talk about him.

Austin Keys, one of the top linebackers in the transfer portal, plans to visit Auburn this weekend, according to Chuck Rounsaville, publisher of Ole Miss Spirit, On3’s Ole Miss affiliate.

I know beggars can't be choosers but if Vandagriff doesn't even have hope of beating out Carson Beck is he really still thought of as a difference maker like he was coming out of HS?

He's better than anyone we have. QBs that transfer out of UGA usually do pretty well

Randy Im not sure its a matter of beating Beck out. Beck has been there a year longer, he has played in half a dozen games this year and looked pretty comfortable. Unless he lays an egg in spring he will be the starter so Vandagriff really never got a shot.

But to Poker's point, he has been in their system for two years, good coaching, practicing with some very good receivers, and learning. Unfortunately I dont think our guys have gotten much direction at all in the past year.

But is he the answer? Huard was higher ranked in high school, when Huard got the start in the Apple Bowl, he tossed 4 interceptions. So is that Vandagriff, or is he a lesser level of Bryce Young who just needs a shot (we can dream).

Regardless, if he doesnt hit the portal and come over in the spring, might as well take a more experienced QB after spring.

that means nothing at that school. Ask Justin Fields.
