I think we take 2 as well. At least we have an upgrade at QB.

“I’d be surprised if Finley stuck around if we added another guy”

I’d be surprised if either left before competing for the job this Spring. Whoever gets 3rd or 4th team reps. (Excluding Geriner) is more likely to bolt then than now.
If the competition remains tight it may continue into the Fall camp.

We could trot Jesus Christ himself out at QB next season behind the line we currently have and he'd look solidly average at best. I'm starting to get concerned about where we are headed

You guys realize this whole NIL program is going to have to be a company outside of the athletic department. If we do offer Williams a bunch of cash and he comes, what about the other players on the team. What if the ones we really would like to hang onto tell us to pony up or they hit the portal? And this will be an annual thing.

Some organization is going to have to manage all the salaries we pay, how much, what to offer new players, portal players, etc.

Heck its gonna be the pros without the luxury of a long term contract, no league rules or organization, and free agency for every player every year. It will require an entity that resembles the front office of any NFL team.

Someone better call someone and tell them to forget about that 92 million football facility, put the money in escrow, we are gonna need it to keep the players we have.

Figured he'd follow Napier, but I have no clue what UF's OL looks like

Considering he never trained or played as a QB and I'm unaware of any of athletic prowess in any other sport average would be pretty danged good. Is he in the portal?

Yeah we’ve been talking about that

I don’t think Caleb Williams is coming here.
I don’t know enough about Ashford other than I know he’s a good athlete.

I’d be surprised if either ended up at Auburn. For different reasons, IMO

J. Lee on Caleb Williams:

Sources are optimistic, cautiously optimistic, but definitely optimistic. NOTHING is over until he shows up for class. But for now, Auburn feels it is in a pretty good spot.

A few days ago he was basically telling people to stop getting their hopes up because it was a big longshot; so this is actually a pretty big shift.

Kiss of Death. I hope we don't have to play against them.

So he's going to Georgia.

Haven't seen JLee say that. Supposedly a poster with some insider cred did say that a few days ago but I haven't been able to confirm it. It was supposedly quickly.

Are you trying to tell me Jesus Christ can’t avoid a pass rush?

I’m crazy for asking but without WR’s and an O-line, why would he come
